The invasion of Equestria (1x1 between Cerberus and Burpy)

It was dark times for Equestria. Some unknown portal that nopony knows anything about appeared out of nowhere in very close to Ponyville. In just one day, Ponyville was captured by unknown evil ponies from a different universe. A lot of the ponies that were living there were killed without any mercy. The rest of the ponies that were left were kept as hostages, one of them was an orange mare called Cutima. Equestria needed their soldier ponies to help Ponyville.

The next day, a messenger-pony was giving letters to all the soldier ponies in Canterlot about the situation in Ponyville and Stauch was one of them. The pony put the letter in Stauch's mailbox, pressed the doorbell button and went to another house. Nopony in Canterlot knew about the invasion yet.

Staunch Fidelity was green unicorn with blonde and short mane and tail. He had just finished cleaning his TRG-42 Sniper-rifle and was putting it back together when the doorbell rang. He opened his door and because there was nopony, he went next to his mailbox and found the letter. From the envelope Staunch could guess that it was draft-letter, and indeed, when he opened it, inside were orders for a mission....

You are the most experienced soldier pony in Equestria, you'll have the most important mission. Get to Ponyville as fast as possible and surprise them from behind. There is one house where their leader is in. The house has two floors, two guards are standing at the main door, all other houses have just one guard, three guards in the first floor with a hostage. You can enter the first floor through windows too if you want. The second floor is just the leader, we don't know how he looks and maybe there are some guard ponies with him. If you can, keep it as quiet as you can. Please, do the best you can do, this is probably the most important mission you are getting in your life. The rest is up to you.

Staunch read the letter. Then he finished putting together his sniper, put on his uniform, packed up his weapons and other equipment, and took off towards his destination, Ponyville. He took Pegasus-carriage from Canterlot to safe distance away from Ponyville, where he then continued on hoof. He had examined the map of the area in the carriage and had chosen good place to take position, and was now carefully moving towards it.

When he reached the desired spot, he took out binoculars, and started to observe the area and the buildings.

He could see Ponyville, but it different than normally. Every single building was guarded by a guard pony and every one of them were holding a weapon. Something about them didn't seem right, not only every single one was an earth pony, but also they were frowning at each other all the time, no happiness, no friendliness. When he looked into the windows of the buildings, he could see soldier ponies inside too, and with hostages, a lot of them were crying so the soldier ponies beat them or yelled at them to make them stop, a lot of them were just looking depressingly to the ground with no hope left. Only the building he had to go in was guarded by more ponies than all the other. He could see some dead bodies on the ground too. It all looked like they all were waiting for something.

The guards were standing there, watching everything around them, Staunch was too far away for them to notice him. One of the guards went in and another one come out, they changed every few hours. He could shoot one of them but that could make others panic.

After little observing, Staunch concluded that there wouldn't be change to get guards of the target down with a sniper.He then turned his observation to other buildings closest to the target, thinking how to proceed.

There was a lot of bushes to hide in, but he can't be loud. Suddenly he could see that one of the hostages jumped out of window and started to run away crying, but unfortunately, one of the guards was faster and caught him, dragging him back to the nearest house, the pony was trying his best, but the evil ponies seemed to be much stronger than normal ponies.

Staunch sighed, he couldn't do anything with sniper, so got back up and put the sniper away. After packing up the sniper, he took out another weapon, his MP5 and put suppressor on to it too. Then he started quietly and slowly moving towards the target, staying hidden the whole time.
