It's a Rarity song, so of course it is great.

Although I have to say that I enjoy My Past is Not Today the most out of the songs that were released at the same time as both this and Friendship Carries on Through the Ages.

Of the three Rainbow Rocks shorts released months after the movie--and before Friendship Games--this is the one that I have the least amount of experience when it comes to watching it. I mean, I have watched it once or twice but for some reason never got invested into it. Maybe it was the overall concept that turned me away or the fact that this and the other two shorts associated with it are hard to find sometimes given they weren't released on a DVD format.
