Somewhat off/Absolute worst merchandise you own.

I ordered a Pinkie Pie plushie sometime last year this is how it was pictured not the best looking but pretty decent for a cheaper one.

When it arrived this is what I got ... Good lord where do I even begin with this one there is no thread that looks like a mouth anywhere like in the picture above,the eyes are completely positioned wrong, the snout is to short,the legs are to close together and it cant even stand by itself. Just look at it comared to this Rainbow Dash one its horrible

Let me tell you a tale... a tale of plushies who were NOT as they were advertised... fillies and gentlecolts, I give you Randi's Freak Show!

First up... my eBay-purchased Rarity, who came with a little something extra...

... WINGS.  FAT wings, at that.

 

Next, I introduce to you... The Alicorn Saint of Mistakes:  DERPLESTIA!

Granted, that looks bad enough, but then there's THIS:

 

And, last but certainly not least, my happy little Derpy Hooves...

... complete with vision-corrective surgery.

Flutterderp from the Storybook set. 

I mean, I can see where they were trying to go with this, but it just comes out as awful. 

The Spike figurine that comes with the set is also pretty terrible. He looks terrifying, actually.

Another of mine that doesn't look bad its just really lazy, a twilight sparkle base recolored pink and white. I can't remember the name they gave this one

I think that's Lovestruck, a toy-line exclusive pony. Most of those are recolors of the Mane6, and they ain't hiding that in the Gameloft game

Oh my little Fluttershy. My comic book shop buys little keychains and trinkets in bulk and/or they are included in her purchases of comic books. This little dear stayed on her shelves for sometime and I would just giggle when I saw it. I mean come on, what is up with the eye? 

Then after months of not going home with anyone I decided that I would buy her. The owner discounted it for me and so she now resides on my pony make up bag. A cute but funny addition.

The white and pink unicorn is cute. I don't see what's wrong with her.

I think the Fluttershy keychain has pink eye.

Are those the 4th Dimension ones? I have three of them (including Rainbow), and they are the best plushies ever! I don't see what's wrong with them. 

 

On topic I really don't have anything bad, since I try to get the best option available. Even if I sometimes get the chinese 12 inch plushies, they seem rather good.

The rainbow dash one is and it is great. I was just comparing how good it was to the pinkie one. Believe me if you saw it up close compared to what the picture showed you would be disappointed

I have some less-than-stellar merchandise but this Fluttershy plush is absolutely the worst.

Her eyes are looking at the opposite direction per side. Like they didn't bothered making her eyes look forward.

How is it lazy? It's common practice for them to make a certain amount of moulds and do them in different colors with different names and introduce a new mould every so often. In fact it's just a common practice in toy companies period.

@Leave a Whisper Your right now that I think about it. I'm a Kamen Rider fan and my favorite suits are the ones from ghost and the two main suits in that one are recolors of each other with a slight tweak to the helmet so what am I complaining about lol.

I recognize the Celestia plush as the 12 inch Chinese ones, which mostly are pretty nice. I don't have her, but even from the advertised images her head and eyes proportion looks way off. I don't understand because the Luna one is perfect:

 

At the very least couldn't they have copied Luna's basic body shape and used that? It just seems weird.

I cannot remember which company makes them, but they have started appearing in discount stores now. They first appeared in the big toy shops but then I guess people started to notice how bad they are. I did own one but sold it in a job lot a while back so I dont have a photo, but here's the stock photo

looks alright yeah? but its not. Fluttershy and Dashie are both missing their wings and irl they are rather ick, thin and elongated than the photo shows. Its not a factory reject missing its wings or anything, its the plush design! apparently wings cost too much. 

Next time im in the discount place Ill get a photo.
