As the train steamed from Canterlot to Ponyville, Luna would put her sleep mask over her eyes. Her blanket would levitate and tuck herself in. The streamlined train was a sight to be seen by anypony who turned their eyes towards the tracks as it passed by. The dark purple, midnight blue, and silver of the engine, as well as the large crescent moon was a dead giveaway as to who the train it belonged to. As the train approached the Ponyville station, its distinctive whistle would cause the alicorn to stir. After a few moments, Luna would leave her sleeping car and head to her parlor car door to await her guest's arrival.

Applejack took a deep breath as she waited on the platform of the Ponyville train station. Of all the things that had happened to her lately, the notion that she could accompany a royal on a trip still didn't quite register in her mind as being anything other than extraordinary. Nevertheless, here she was, saddlebags packed and ready to go to Trottingham with Princess Luna, on a cider-tasting trip no less.

As pleasant as she had always found her interactions with Princess Luna, Applejack still couldn't shake a sense of apprehension in her presence, however. It wasn't because of her past as Nightmare Moon, just because out of the two Royal Sisters, Luna still seemed the more stern and formal, and it made Applejack feel like she had to be on her best behaviour, at least at first. She hoped she could keep that going for the whole trip.

Applejack took another breath as she watched Luna's very distinctive private train pull in to the station, off the posted schedule of course, feeling like the other ponies in the station must have wondered why she was the one approaching the lead coach. As soon as the car door opened, Applejack dropped into a low bow. "Your Highness," she said. "Thank you for bringing me on this trip."
