{OOC thread is this way. The information went data way.}

Shared pain is lessened.Shared joy is increased. Thus we refute entropy.

The words stood on a blackboard, occupying no place of importance. Other sayings, some profound, some flippant, others just going for a particularly bad pun, surrounded it, sometimes crowding it, others swam around at a leisurely distance, but there was something about it that said, quietly, that if Everything was erased - not merely everything, but Everything - those would have been the words that mattered.

As it stood, the blackboard hung behind a portly brown earth pony who was, at that moment, polishing a shotglass behind a spacious bar of a tavern tucked away behind trees and shrubbery of a side street somewhere along the Manehattan highway on a warm summer not-quite-closing-time. Bright ceiling lamps cast a warm steady glow throughout the whole tavern, bravely invading the world outside through stained-glass windows and tragically stopping short of world dominating and having to settle for casting colorful patterns on the small parking lot outside.

Various knickknacks and picture frames lined the tavern from wall to wall, shelves of memorabilia or reminders of bad jokes, stories of happiness or tragedy and the occasional mementos of an adventure or few complete with a handful of bookshelves piled with Bard Berry, Panther C. Clop, Stanislav Lime, A. K. Yearling and the odd occasional fare that hadn't technically been written yet. And as much as memories filled the walls, the sounds of a Crosswood evening filled the space - chairs scraping against the polished wood floor, laughter and groans, the merry and irregular plinking of a pegasus working an aging, yet lovingly cared-for piano sitting a comfortable distance from an odd, parabolic fireplace with a convenient bullseye that flashed in soft kaleidoscope patterns as the flames reflected and refracted from the yet-unswept shards of glass sticking out from between burning logs and ash.

All in all, it was a night as many, just off the side of a usual, when the front door opened and someone new stepped into the bar...

All in all, it was a night as many, just off the side of a usual, when the front door opened and someone new stepped into the bar...

Silens Solis after a long day and afternoon at a concert for one of his Favourite Artists, decided to find a place to get a nice drink and a bite to eat before heading off to a Hotel to get a room for the night. Not knowing Manehatten very well, he wandered aimlessly around the dimly lit streets until he eventually heard the Piano Music coming from the Tavern and realized it was open.

"It looks cozy and friendly enough, plus I am sure I could find someone who could give me tips on where the cheapest place to stay is. I really need to be more organized" thought Silens Solis. As he approached and opened the door, he felt a breath of warm air flow over his body and noticed the crowds of people enjoying a nice cold beverage and having a laugh. "Well, I am in for a good bit of banter" he thought as he made his way to the Main Bar to get a drink.

He wasn't particularly sure what to order as this was his first time at a Tavern being more used to the cafes back home or the restaurants of Canterlot. He decided to ask the brown Earth Pony what was on offer. "Hello, my name is Silens Solis. I am not very familiar with Manehatten as a city or at being in a Tavern and was wondering what you services and produce, you offer in this establishment. If that wouldn't be too much trouble" he said as always trying to be polite. He greeted the brown Earth Pony with "A smile and caring hand" like his mother always told him to do.

Silens Solis didn't know what he was in for, but was excited for the new experience eating at a Tavern could provide. Seeing all the happy and content faces gave him a comforting feeling of safety. Plus, he was sure someone here must know where to get the best price for a Hotel Room.

Andromeda, for the first time in what seemed like forever, was finally allowing herself to go on a little vacation. Summer was here and as hot as ever, meaning there were no eager students to teach and no more boring papers to mark. What a glorious thing! Freedom at it's very finest. She spent her entire day perusing different shops and restaurants, getting a glimpse of the outside life that she was apparently missing out on. It didn't bother her too much, but it was definitely apparent that she was missing out on some pretty great things, but Andromeda appreciated the fact that she got to experience such things nonetheless.

After a hot day spent doing nothing but walking, the sun was finally starting to set. Before no time the early shops were closing and those glorious stars dotted the evening sky, twinkling in their admirable brilliance though so far away through a dim light that drained slowly. The mare sighed, content. Night was certainly the best, though her opinion was obviously quite biased. Though tired from such a long day spent enjoying the hot sun, Andromeda was still interested in making the most out of her vacation. With a steady trot the mare made her way down the street, her eyes scanning for a place to chillax for a bit before she made her way back to her hotel room. Perhaps she'd get herself something to drink and munch on, and maybe even strike up a conversation or two. She didn't quite know what her exact plans would be. She had no way of knowing if there was even anywhere that was open. Surely there was. This was Manehatten, after all.

After only a short while of searching, Andromeda found that her assumptions were luckily correct! With lights on, a mutter of different ponies faint through the door, and a wondrous piano melody seemingly calling her name, she found herself the perfect place to settle down for a bit. Keeping to herself, she swiftly made her way to a bar stool, seating herself so elegantly upon it, her tail taking up the full length of the seat. If you were to look fast, perhaps be even a tad intoxicated, you'd assume she was holding herself up with that tail of hers. The mare crossed her forehooves on her lap, waiting patiently, taking her sweet time examining the cozy establishment as she waited for the friendly working pony to finish up whatever conversation he was having. She wasn't an impatient pony and that allowed her to take some time to really admire the atmosphere inside this homely tavern. Nowhere to be seen were there any younger, mischievous ponies who had a few too many. There was no trouble here, and everypony, without even truly knowing them, seemed welcoming and warm. Her surroundings gave Andromeda a warm, butterfly-esque feeling in her gut.

Crosswood gave Silens a smile - it wasn't the biggest smile, just a warm, pleasant smile of someone with little reason to overcompensate. "There's no reason to be formal, Silens. We're not too fancy - we have drinks, both with alcohol and without, and good company. If you're really hungry, there's the Free Meal over there - " he motioned at a plate by the side of the bartop containing a couple of lettuce-and-tomato sandwiches flanked by a pair of chocolate donuts, " - but there's not much to buy." He gave him a wink.

As Andromeda examines the bar, she might notice a few oddities - like Princess Celestia, if she were about the size of a coffee mug playing cards with a pegasus, or a snake-like creature leaning against a wall, or one of those urban legend "human" things sitting awkwardly on a chair too small for it by a table too short to accommodate its legs apparently having some kind of verbal contest with another bargoer.

All in all, it was a night as many, just off the side of a usual, when the front door opened and someone new stepped into the bar...

Blood Moon gave a warm smile and a nod to her employers as they saw her out of their home, a white hoof raising up to wave good-bye until they would meet again the next morning. Turning towards the sunset, the mare spread her bat-like wings and took off to the sky. Though she loved the time spent with the foals she took care of, it was definitely this time that she enjoyed the most. Not getting away from the family that she was made to feel like she was a part of, but simply flying through the cooling air of the ever-darkening sky. The feeling of the wind through her mane and over her fur. Nothing could compare to it.

Every night, the young mare would spend hours flying through the sky, watching the city below bustling with ponies also making their way home at night. With no set path in mind, she would aimlessly wander about above the buildings and simply pass time keeping her eye out for anything that seemed interesting enough to grab her attention. And tonight was a night that she finally did find something new that seemed to just hook her right in. Something about the building its self? The sound of voices coming from within just barely catching her sensitive ears? The music? She just couldn't place her hoof on it, but something just pulled her in the moment she took notice of the little pub.

Turning, Blood Moon made small circles in the air to gently lower herself to the ground, flapping her wings a few quick times to stop as her hooves made contact with the ground once more. Turning her good eye towards the building that had caught her attention, the mare stared for a few long moments. She had been living in this city for a few years now, how did she never run into this pub before? Well, you learn something new every day, and this seemed like a good thing to learn about!

With a giggle and a spring in her step, she cantered towards the door and pushed her way inside. Upon entering, she quickly found herself trying to focus in on the different conversations about her. She hadn't ever been into a pub or bar before and the new experience made her heart flutter with excitement, the friendly and homey atmosphere of the establishment only compounding onto her feelings of joy. Stepping right up to the bar and seating herself down on one of the empty stools, her bushy and somewhat messy tail splayed out slightly behind her as it hung towards the floor, pink tips just kissing the ground. Unsure of what to do with herself beyond taking her seat, she rested her front hooves on the bar and took a glance around herself to further take in the wonderful place she found herself.

DÍA ROSETTA

LILAC SNOW

Lilac walked into the tavern slowly. She didn't want to be here, or course. This was the opposite of all her favorite places. A quite, peaceful place to write in was all she wished for at the moment. Nevertheless, she trekked through the sea of talking ponies - and non-ponies. Her eyes swept over the scene, hoping to find the light purple pony. No such luck. "Great," she mumbled to herself. "Now I might have to ask one of the crazy ponies here." Lilac trudged further through the mess of a place, searching farther and farther. Finally, she caught a glimpse of a mint and blue tale. Bingo! Shoving past the strange guests of the tavern, she made it to her... friend? Fiend? No, those weren't the words. It was more like 'hatted acquaintance.'

"Hello, Día Rosetta," Lilac Snow grumbled, not caring to have the decentcy to hide her distaste for the place and the pony.

"Hello to you!" Rosetta bounced in her chair at the sight of the new arrival. Lilac Snow noticed the swaying glass in her hand right after a hiccup escaped the other pony's moulth.

The pony I hate is a drunk? How fun, Lilac thought. This is either good, or very, very bad for me. "Why did you ask me to come here, Rosetta?"

"Oh, I don't know. You want a drink?"

"Rosetta?"

"What? You want a drink or something?"

"You told me to meet you here. What did you want?" Lilac asked firmly, pounding her hooves down on the table.

"Aww, now, don't be so salty, Lilac. I just can't remember. You want a drink?" Día Rosetta hiccuped again.

Lilac groaned. She couldn't tell if Rosetta was playing with her, or just plain drunk.

"You want a drink?"

"NO! I don't want a drink, Día Rosetta!" Lilac snapped, throwing her head back.

Rosetta grinned. "You want a drink or not?"

Lilac Snow let her head fall against the table. She was being toyed with. This was going to be a long night.

Techno was in his control room in his lab feeling really board...

TU: Uhh! So board! I need something fun to do for once!

Techno then saw the crossword tavern on his monitors. He saw the silly things that were happening in there and that gave him an idea...

TU: I know! I'll blend in with everyone else in that pub! I'll probably have a lot of fun joking around with them!

Techno then teleported up to the serface and he was now right in front of the tavern. He then stepped through the door...

TU: I'm feeling absolutely zinger right now! Probably because I'm the new bloke!

LILAC SNOW

DÍA ROSETTA

Lilac glanced around the tavern. Everypony was engaged in their own conversations, paying no attention to anypony else.

Día Rosetta hiccuped. "Do you want a-"

"NO, I DON'T WANT A DRINK!" she yelled, frustrated. She was about ready to storm out of the place. Rosetta reached the glass of alcohol towards her muzzle for another sip. Before she could think about what she was doing, Lilac smacked the glass out of Rosetta's hooves, causing it to come crashing on the ground.

"That's IT! I'm leaving!" Lilac stood up, taking care not to step on any glass shards. Día Rosetta's eyes darted between her shattered glass and the frustrated pony.

"Fine, Snow, don't go all annoying on me." Rosetta motioned for her to sit back down. Lilac hesitated.

"I'll tell you why I told you to come."

Lilac sat back down in a huff. "Finally. Sooner you tell me, the sooner I can get out of here."

"Where to start..." Rosetta hiccuped again. She was still drunk, but more bearable than before. "Well, you know how the whole story about the Equal Town just became big news?"

"Of course I do! It's only all over every news article I write!"

"Surely you remember that-"

"Yes!" Lilac burst out. "Oh, I should have remembered! When can I nterview you? Now? Darn it, where did I put my notepad? I-"

"Shut it, Snow off. I'll let you invetview me or whatever trash you do for a job-"

"Celestia, this is amazing!"

"But ONLY if you spend the night in the tavern." Día Rosetta laughed. "Deal?"

"I really hate you... fine. But only because I need it for my job," Lilac submitted. She sighed. This really was going to be a long night.

"Well then..." Rosetta smirked. "You want a drink? Oh, and buy me the one you owe me while your at it."

  • 2 weeks later...

Silga Sinewald was wandering around the streets of Manehattan. She'd been traveling. Too no place in particular. But in general she was looking for a home. She pulled her green cape around herself trying too block the cold. She wasn't very good with directions and had gotten lost. After walking around for some time she decided she had too find a place too rest for a bit.

She came across a a place called the Crosswodd cavern. She noticed the fireplace inside. Beyond that though she saw the other ponies inside talking, and even if she didn't intend too talk too anyone she yearned for companionship. She opend the door and imediatley ran too the fireplace.

"Sp warm!" She said cozying up too the fireplace. After ten minutes she was warmed up and decied too go sit at the bar.

"I'll just have a soda please."Silga said blushing. She didn't enjoy drinking.

For some time Silga sat there by herself. Ocasonliy smiling and waving at other guests. But she mostly kept too herself. She pulled out a picture of a gray stallion she kept in her cape. Tears swelled in her eyes as she looked at it.

Suddenley the door flew open. And a loud heavy metal music began too play! The mare in the doorway was silloheted and smoke was coming out around her. Suddnely she began too play an epic guitar solo.

"Guess who's just arrived!!!!!!!" The mare said as she entered. A few heads raised but nobody got up. "Yeah maybe if I said I was princess Twilight Sparkle they'd notice me." She mumbled.

The new mare sat down at the bar not far from Silga. "Give me the strongest stuff you've got! I don't wanna be straight on the way home!" She said. "I mean gay on the way home. Err no. Just give me the best stuff. And make it big." A few minutes later a giant glass was placed in front of her. She chugged it in one gulp.

"Aww!"she said with a pleased look on her face. Silga giggled at the mare. The new mare finnaly noticed Silga. She scooted closer too her.

"Hey sweetheart Heaven just called they want there angel back." Thebmare said. Silga gigfled at this.

"A herm. Sorry. My name is T-Sparks. You?"

"I'm Silga."

"Nice too meet you."

T-Sparks was a mare not much older than Silga. She had purple pink mane and a dark purple fur. Unlike Silga however she wasn't a Earth pony but a unicorn. Silga stared eagerley at T-Sparks.

"This might sound weird, but can you tell me everything about being a unicorn? I love magic, and unicorns, and I love hearing about you guys!" Silga said eagerley.

T-Sparks got a creepy smile on her face. "Sure sweetheart, I'll tell you anything you want, as long as you perform certain gestures first."

Silga was disgusted by what T-Sparks had just said. "While you are a cute mare, I take great offense too what you are asking!"

T-Sparks chuckled. "Come on girl, can't a mare flirt? Listen if you promise too wobble me back home later tonight I'll answer as many qustions as I can."T-Sparks said as she put out her hoof for a hoofbump.

"Deal."Silga said accepting the hoofbump.

Silga and T-Sparks talked for awhile after that. Flirting with the other mare every now and then. Eventually T-Sparks passed out by the door. But  Silga wanted too stay a little longer before she drug the cute mare's passed out flank home.

Techno was sitting down at a table for quite a while looking around and thinking what he should do. Techno's mane then dragged him over to Silga and it then wrapped itself around her. His mane was extremely soft, cuddly and warm...

TU: Uhh... Hi there! I'm Techno and my mane really likes you for some reason! It just has a tendency to cuddle other ponies that it likes! Anyways I've got a bunch of silly jokes up my sleev and I'm pretty confident that you would love to hear them!

Silga's cape then became over four meters long and it then got a really soft and warm texture to it. (The massive cape that Techno has on in our other RP also appeared on Techno!)

TU: Okay that's unexpected. But still this cape seems to be really soft and warm plus it really suits me with how it looks!

"Yes you look fabulous in that cape!" Silga said gushing.

T-Sparks got drunkenly up and sat down by Silga. "I thought you liked mares?" She said.

"I'm bisexual, I can like both." Silga said. T-Sparks merley shrugged. "Oh hey Techno, remember that rp I was in? Good sh*t." T-Sparks said half awake.

TU: I thought I would look fabulous in it! Plus it's really nice cuddly!

When T-Sparks appeared...

TU: Seriously not you again! You seriously got me triggered in that RP back then and I don't want to get triggered here! Just seriously don't do anything to get me triggered here as you know what will happen.

Meanwhile, Invictus wandered the streets of dimly lit Manehattan, looking for somewhere to spend the night. "Just discharged from the military, saved Equestria so many times I lost count, and i get thrown into this forsaken place," Invictus thought as he unconsciously touched the hilt of his sword with his magic. "what did I do to deserve this," he thought glumly as he began to hear faint piano music. He began to go towards to source of the noise and found the tavern. "Hey, I might be able to get a cheap dinner and room for the night, considering I was discharged and all," Invictus thought as he strode into the establishment, wings spread wide. Invictus walked up to the bartender and said, "My name is Invictus Revel, Chief military advisor for Her Majesty, Princess Celestia. How much would it cost me to get dinner and a room for the night?"

"2 things. First, we don't permit weapons here. You'll either have to leave it with us or leave. Second, what is Her Majesty's military advisor doing here in Manehattan?"

"I'm here because i was recently discharged from the military. Celestia was kind enough to pay for my train fare here, but im on my own now. And, im afraid i will be keeping my sword," Invictus' horn began to glow a pitch black as did his sword's hilt. "I don't go anywhere without my sword. Thank you for understanding."

The bartender became visibly nervous as Invictus sat down at the bar. He handed Invictus a glass of ale and a bowl of vegetable stew. "On the house," the bartender said. "Go upstairs, first room on the right. Have a good night, sir."

Invictus nodded as he continued to eat his dinner, unaware of the commotion surrounding him.

Across the bar, back pressed against a wall, a strange snake-like creature looked at Techno and his companion. The two large bright yellow eyes didn't stray from him, although the snakes on her head swayed and twisted, each looking around by itself as though guided by their own individual minds. She stood alone - no, alone wouldn't be quite the right word. She stood away from the other patrons, in the middle of her own imaginary semi-circle, neither ignored or avoided by the other patrons, but simply... by herself.

Little by little, her expression grew more and more tense, her eyes still locked on the table. Finally, in one smooth motion, she moved away from the wall and slid towards the pony. A couple of patrons saw her move and stepped away casually, giving her a clear path. One gave her a small nod as she passed.

Stopping at Techno's table, she stood there for a moment, her expression unreadable. Then a clawed hand jabbed out, hanging in midair.

"Hi," Drakontipa said, the word less spoken and more ejected.

Techno then tuned to Drakontipa looking quite snuggled up in his massive cape...

TU: Ohh hi there! I've never seen a being like you around here so I guess you're new!
