It was quite touching and affectionate to see Shining Armor staying by Cadence's side throughout both episodes. Looking forward sooooooooo much to seeing my sister next week for the first time since the school year began!!! Always have and always shall be her BBBFF!!!!!!! And finally, it's that time again everpony. That's right, it's time for... A PINKIE PIE EPISODE!!!!!!!! I'm struggling on how to answer the first one, I think it's just that people sometimes don't know how else to express heavy emotion/love in Internet artwork (at least these days) in any other tasteful way other than through tears (whether they be tears of joy or sorrow). But yeah, now that you mention it, both of them are frequently depicted crying together, and on greater levels compared to most shipping pairs in the fandom, so I couldn't tell ya why! As for your second question, I don't think it's that Doctor Whooves is the only stallion that could care for Derpy, but I think their (presumed) love is so ardent because, and this is totally fanon speculation, he's been the first stallion to care for her (besides her father). I think plenty of other stallions, if they'd give her a chance, could care for her, but like I said, I think the Doctor might be the first stallion who really ever has. Well, while I'm at it, since this is after all the Cute Pictures Thread, here's some CMC pics, in honor of their first upcoming episode of the season this week!!! Enjoy everypony! If she really does have a foal that would be awesome. Somebody once drew a comic of her visiting Twilight in Ponyville while pregnant.
