Traditionally it's become a cliché joke that when someone is caught reading Playboy magazine (an adult entertainment magazine that often features sexual content) they say that they "read it for the articles", since the magazine usually does have some written work in it. An image macro arose to satire the brony phenomena which alluded to this joke, showing a picture of one of the character's rear end facing the camera, with the subtitle "I watch it for the plot". So the analogy of the joke is that [this person] doesn't care for the show's premise or story, only to find titillating content within the show. This in turn resulted in "Plot" being a very common euphemism for the crease between a character's flank, where anatomically the genitals of a horse are, or similarly just their butt, making 'plot' equal to 'ass'. John Joesco is an artist who is renowned for his digital painterly style of drawing a variety of My Little Pony characters in a variety of situations, but is also infamous for his tumblrs of "Princess Molestia", as well as other Not-Safe-For-Work pieces, of both ponies and humanized counterparts.
