I'd say I don't  know why I pull this hard for Lightning Dust, but I had a realization over the weekend that might explain it, a realization that I'm ashamed to admit it took me this long to see. I don't know how it will play out, but she has a clear connection with my OC. Just look at the names.

Maybe so. Technically if you swap his mane and coat colors, he gets much closer to Lightning Dust's colors. There could be something to this.

Haha! That's fair. I could see Thunder perhaps helping rein in some of her more difficult personality moments, and maybe teaching her the value of achievements through working for them. Short story, maybe?
