OPM is one of my favorites as I love overpowered protagonists and it was beautifully done with OPM

Well of course everyone has their own opinions. There'd be little room for discussion otherwise.

I just don't see growth as a character as a necessity for a character to be great. The character is at their best when they're kicking ass imo. The rest of the stuff is what makes it boring.

On topic: I finished So You Thought There Never Is A Girl Online? I hope there's a season 2 at some point. I hate this 12 episodes thing in anime. It's almost never enough and a looooot of them end of cliffhangers or pseudo-cliffhangers.

 

Been rewatching Tenchi Muyo since. I've never seen past the original 13 OVAs so I'm curious to see what happens.

It's OK to have opinions. I don't expect you to like what I like or to hold the same values as everybody else when it comes to what makes a good character. Character development and believability is vital for me, but it doesn't have to be for you.

That's not a bad thing, as long as you're not hurting anybody's feelings or trying to make people feel bad for having opinions, which you aren't.

I've  never intentionally hurt someone's feelings but I don't go out of my way to avoid it either. I say what I mean to say and then I leave it be.

Haven't watched new series in a while, but I recently re-watched One Piece's Skypeia arc. Not the best arc, but great still.

I specially like the way they brought Robin's dream back, and how she started to care for the crew.

I stopped watching the anime during the Impel Down arc (hated the animation), but have been up to date with the manga since the end of Enies Lobby.

I'd have to update this because I recently watched the entire anime (26 episodes) of Ouran High School Host Club and loved it! It was funny and a feel-good anime! I read about how it turns out in the manga and I am pleased. I don't like the way the Bleach manga ended (I ship Rukia/Ichigo) but did watch the movie Fade to Black and enjoyed it a lot.

I understand, have met a few friends with the same issue with One Piece.

And apparently, after its 20th anniversary (manga) it would still have to be developed another 10 years (approximately) before reaching its end. Definitely a good call to drop if its too long for your taste.

I've mever particularly been able to get into One Piece. Of all the lomg running series' at the time it's the only one that couldn't grab me. Case Closed, Bleach, Naruto, Sailor Moon, Yugioh, Digimon? Yup. Never One Piece though.

The last anime I watched was Seirin. I remember watching it when it first came out this year, or during the spring. I took a hiatus and never got back to it. After some time I decided to finish it and it was a pretty good anime, in my opinion.

I read the manga mostly. The Buggy The Clown arc, the cat claw pirate captain, parts of Nami's home town, the part where they recruit Sanji, etc.

 

I also saw bits and pieces of the Alabasta story arc and the part where they recruited the deer guy in the anime.

 

I've seen enough to know that I'll likely never watch the show in its entirety.

Just Watched kuroko no basuke  all 3 seasons was pretty awesome.

Adjusting to the changes from the original Tenchi OVAs to the new stuff is strange. So many new voices for characters I've come to know in their old voices and the animation is newer since there was at least a ten year gap between them.

 

Ryoko is probably the hardest one to adjust to. Her original voice was absolutely perfect for her. Now she's done by someone who typically does young boys in video games and anime so she sounds so strange.
