Plasmastorm X-15 162 May 16, 2012 Share May 16, 2012 Im pretty sure some of you are familiar with the arcade game on Xbox Live & PS3 Skullgirls. To be honest. This became a popular game very quickly. People started having offical tornaments in the first week of this game`s release. The artwork of this game was entire drawn out. Every frame & scene. Not to mention the gameplay is similar to Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, King of Fighters, & Arcana Heart. The music is very good as well. The only things i hate is that there`s only 8 characters, You can`t make private rooms online, The boss is a bitch, There`s no move list in game. You have to go to Shoryuken.com for the move list. & the players online have no-lives. It`s annoying. Overall it`s a good game in my opinion. Yeah, with characters like Ms. Fortune, the AI does tend to get really annoying, and I still get angry at the sight of Double, but objectively, it's a pretty creative game with decent characters... Well, it's possible this first game wasn't as thoroughly developed as most arcade games because it was a test for public interest. I'm sure along with the new characters in the next game, there'll also be improvements like the inclusion of a move list, and more online features, now that the developers know that gamers are interested. Specifically, Beowulf because BEOWULF, Isaac because his play-style sounds really fun (and maybe something I could actually pull off... though most likely I'm going to suck just as much as I normally do in fighting games), and Minette because clumsy maid or something. And due to me playing the demo so much, Ive fallen for Cerebella. Something about her is just awesome. Filia is cool to, but I totes prefer playing Cerebella over her. Oh, it did die (a sad and pitiful death), but my love for fighting games big and small drove me to try and revive it. I figured that since there will be new DLC characters on the way, now (well, then) would be the perfect time. I admit that I don't play the game very much anymore, but I still catch the livestreams every now and then. I might get back into it soon, especially with Squigly on the way. I know, I know; it's hard to believe, but it's true unfortunately. The 3rd dlc character is Eliza. She seems like an interesting enough character so I'm not overwhelmingly disappointed (just grievously). There was also some more Squigly progress shown on the twicth stream for those that are interested. The 5th DLC character was just announced a couple of days ago: Beowulf Also, Michiru Yamane's WIP song for the new stage, River King Casino, was posted on youtube. Here, have a listen. It's just a piano melody for now but I think it sounds pretty good. I can't wait to hear the finished product. Skullgirls Encore arrived on PSN not too, too long ago and Squigly is a pretty interesting character with the stance cancels and screen shifting. It's not my favorite fighting game, but it's not bad.
