I agree with those people who say Shining Armor would've been a better vessle for Queen Chrysallis than Cadance in

"A Caterlot Wedding" for a couple reasons:

 

1. Twilight's doubting of Shining Armor's unusual behavior would have made more sense since they are siblings & 

      grew up together for most of their lives.

 

2. The "BBBFF" song was about Shining Armor's close bond with Twilight so,

  it didn't make sense to me that "Cadance" was made to be the antagonist.

Twilight accepting her brother getting married was definitely an important story note, though. Note during the This Day Aria, her positive reaction when Cadence sings of how she truly loves Shining. She was worried about losing her brother, and/or jealous. That's why Cadence had to be the "antagonist".
