No schoolpony puppy love crushes?

Seems a little strange that in 7 years of MLP, we've had a royal wedding and the power of true love between a married couple that is able to defeat evil and its minions, a strung-along speciesist 'will they, won't they' tease between an adult pony and a young dragon, and a first crush scenario between an adult stallion and his crush. And while I know that friendship is the focus of the series, I still am left to wonder why we haven't really been given any episodes that focus on the traditional schoolyard puppy love- the closest thing we've seen was a very brief 2 second glimpse of Twist and Truffle Shuffle accepting each others' valentines, back in Hearts and Hooves Day, hugging (and breaking poor Liza Doolots' heart), and occasionally being seen together in random episodes since.

 

Can you guys see Snips, Snails, Diamond Tiara, Silver Spoon, or some other school filly or colt developing a crush on somepony? Would it work out for the best between them? Would it be one-sided and unrequited? Would the pony being crushed on take the other pony's love-struck advances seriously, or think them a total weirdo? How could you see this sort of episode being played out?

I don't know her name, but how about the filly with the super-strength? They could have an episode where she starts following Spike around and giving him little gifts...Like a gem so big that Big Mac can't budge it! At first, Spike ill love all the attention. Then, he'll begin to worry.

When she makes an appointment with Rarity for a fitting, Spike will then think she's plotting to destroy Rarity so she can have Spike all to herself!

Spike rushes in to save his beloved Rarity, only to find them giggling together about how cute Spike is when he gets all frantic. Poor Spike will then get cast aside when Featherweight sees the strong filly in her new gown and asks her to the school dance. Spike will feel a tiny moment of remorse and jealousy, until Rarity asks him to lend a claw with something in her shop. He'll snap right back to starry eyed love for Rarity!  

 

Now that I wrote that, I NEED to see it as an episode!

Maybe the Cutie Mark Crusaders will end up helping a classmate out with their love life. I mean, they already successfully helped Big Mac. Alternatively  they could end up fighting over a colt, themselves.

Then I want him to go along with it to not hurt her feelings, only for it to get out of claw. Only then would he realize he's been doing the same thing to Rarity all these years and it's him who apologies to her and tells her he's not going to do that anymore.

Won't happen before the movie, though, since it's part of his character bio for the film. I guess it'd be funny if a fish crushed on him and this all was a subplot during that segment of the movie. Kind of like "The Incredible Mr. Limpet."

Because of Flashlight scenario. If you set a relation between two characters, people are going to be upset. Although I don't think it will be as large as Flashlight.
