New Equestria Girl doll

Honestly I think they should have done better than this, like maybe make them more close to the show? But what do guys think?

They are definitely a major improvement over the original Equestria Girls dolls.

Except for Fluttershy and Rainbow (whose pants are ugly by the by) they look relatively accurate to their appearance in the movies. Though maybe these will all be their redesigns for the show, cause I've seen Sunset's design already in promotional material.

I would say that Sunset, Pinkie, Rarity and Rainbow look the best.

At least these look way better than their usual doll of the Equestria Girls cast especially the faces. But, the mini-figures will continue to be seen as the best iteration because of how close they look to the characters despite being chibi-like in appearance. In any case, I commend them for doing a great job with these and for a while, I feared they would just be new versions of what they had made in the past.

I have a lot of problems with them actually:

1) why do they all have their ears and not their other “ponied up” items. Like wings or longer hair/tail thing?! If you’re not going to have it all, have none. 

2) the clothes are all hideous. What was wrong with the outfits from the movie?! I mean come on. Ugh rainbows leggings are so hideous.  

3) their hair needs to be styled a bit more distinctly to the character. Fluttershy’s should not be up, Twilights should. Sunsets hair needs a bit more volume to make a bang or trendil on her forehead like in the show, and Pinkies should be curled. 

 

Other than that their faces and expressions look good and I agree that they’re better than the original dolls ahhah

I actually really enjoy this new realistic? style, wasn't a fan of MH style they were going for before, especially the last ones, they were downright scary, u know?
Also outfits are really cute and fit their characters. I probably enjoy it more then most people because i don't really care about EG canon, I just want dolls to be prettier..

An improvement over the original line but that’s not really saying much. Now instead of bad MH rip-offs they look like bad Barbie rip-offs

I like them and will definitely be picking these up, I wonder if there will be more outfits available. I love the old eq dolls, and they have some nice outfits but there was never more to be had without buying another doll and exchanging their outfits. Maybe I just didn't notice it but I never saw EQ girl clothes on sale on thier own like you see with Barbies and stuff.
