Java? Specifying the type of variables is quite strict I seem to remember. Used to proper get on my nerves.

C#, which, according to legend, is basically a Microsoft competitor to Java.

Sorta. Microsoft tried their "Embrace, Extend, Extinguish" strategy against Java (creating "J++") and it backfired on them massively; they not only had to agree to withdraw and destroy all issued copies of J++ (and the J++ JVM) but lost the right to supply Java with their operating system or web browser.  So C# is pretty much "Java.Net" without calling it that, and pretending its actually related to C++ instead. Not that C++ isn't similar, of course.

So I settled on probably the funkiest function I've ever conceived so far: a population growth function where it's a logistic curve whenever it increases and exponential decay when it decreases. And the carrying capacity also changes over time.
