What will you do when the show ends? What will you be like on the day of the last episode?

What do you think will happen to the fandom when the show ends?

I’ll be sad to see it end, but more bittersweet than anything else. It always an interesting feeling seeing an end to something like a TV show.

That said, I don’t think the fandom is going anywhere, MLP is too big a cash cow to go away forever, and it’ll be back in a few years. Half the fandom will hate the new spin-off and say it’s the worst thing ever and the other half will praise it and say MLP is getting better all the time.

So, nothing will really change there.

We will see. Personnaly I think there is going to be a spin off a couple years later, so the fandom won't go away.

Wouldn't surprise me if the fandom keeps on ticking strongly. The amount of content the fans produce alone would keep things afloat.  Like others have mentioned a reboot would take it's place in the years to come.

I bet the G1 fans were wondering what life would be like after their series of MLP finished only to probably still be watching the new series 20+ years later.

The show only leaves your heart when you let it.

I usually get depressed when a favored TV show comes to an end, so I will probably get depressed over MLP too. 

The fandom will still be around. There are plenty of fandoms that have persisted long after their respective shows ended, and this one is unlikely to be different. There will be less volume of discussion, but artwork will continue to be made, and fanfics will continue to be written.

And, of course, there will likely be a next generation, or a revival.

It'll be sad for me. I've followed the show and the franchise since almost the beginning in 2010, and...I'd hate to see it go. As life goes though, things change. I'll move on, but I'll still be in the fandom for as long as I can tell. We're hitting eight seasons, a continuing EqG spinoff, had a feature film, and an ongoing series of comics; there's still plenty here. That said, even though this is FiM and not EqG, this vid has a lesson that can apply to this situation as well:

I agree. For me, I think Twilight, Rarity, Rainbow and Applejack are now fresh out of potentials (maybe, except, for a Spike/RD episode, which I don't want) after 7 years of the show, even though they will get more episodes, but hopefully, not too much to destroy other characters' potentials.

We'll all be hoping Hasbro's learned enough from the show to keep up quality going forward.  And they're going to do something.  Otherwise they're just leaving money on the table, and we all know how much businesses hate that.

I don't care if McFlurry is the main character in a possible spinoff or not, but I'd love a spinoff in a new setting, with maybe Starlight as a mentor/team mom archetype, with the occasional mention or appearance of the Mane6. FiM is too good to NOT get a spinoff. There's so much spinoff material around. 

About FiM ending, I think I'll reach S9 at least, so I think we still we have FiM for a while

I think it would be better if Starlight would get her arc in this series and not in the spinoff. Or she must become a kind of Celestia mentor, so she stays on distance.
