Young: Most new technology is still easy to pick up and learn how to use.

What makes me feel young: being able to play video games (have a ps4), watching anime and mlp, travelling to different places with my friends and family

What makes me feel old: learning that kids don't recognize the names of famous actors I enjoyed movies from (aka Jackie Chan, Arnold Schwarzennegger), not being very interested in online multi-player games, growing up with a rotary phone, having a cell phone but almost never using it compared to everyone else, and seeing the minimum birthdate in gas stations for buying alcohol and cigs

Young: Well... Just thinking about my age

Old: Uh... Nothing, oh wait the fact that i've spent most likely a year or two just on my computer... Yea, sure i'll go with that

My thoughts exactly! Mind was blown, absolutely blown. In that moment, I felt like I was at least sixty lol

Old:

  • My ten year high school reunion just happened
  • This upcoming weekend will mark the eleven year mark of the end of my high school marching band 'career'.
  • My nephew is six years old
  • A lot of people I went to high school with are married and have kids, and are in successful careers
  • Sometime ago I heard a song that was released when I was in late elementary school/early middle school on a classic rock station.

Young:

I'm in a weird state of mind so it's hard for me to answer this. Things that remind me of my youth just bring me a lot of pain.

Everyone born before 9/11 is old enough to drive in the United States.

I remember the first Chipotle that opened in my area.

I vividly remember playing Wolfenstein 3D on a Packard Bell computer that ran Windows 95.

I remember everyone freaking out when gas first crested $2 a gallon.

I used to occasionally watch My Little Pony Tales on Disney Channel.

I now have gray hair.

Young: Still only a Junior in High School, not owning my own car yet, and not being old enough to vote

Old: Renting movies at Blockbuster, having my first internet experience on a Windows Vista desktop, and using CD's to listen to my favorite songs on my stereo

What Makes Me Feel Young: Watching/Drawing cartoons

What Makes Me Feel Old: Mentioning 90s cartoons to a customer’s kid and having them respond, “Weren’t those in black and white?” This actually happened.

  • 1 year later...

Things that make me feel young:

  1. Watching cartoons
  2. Having hi speed internet in a rural area
  3. Having a pocket device that can call, text, and access nearly unlimited information

Things that make me feel old:

  1. Realizing that some of the cartoons I watch are from my childhood.
  2. 10 year high school reunion was this year
  3. Right shoulder has been aching and bothering me for a while (Geez, I'm getting old )
