Sleepy, mine lief! I spent the entire day at home sleeping like a marmot... and I feel arrant not guilty! It's enough that I need to deal with both Moon and Sun for the time being...

The best hours of the day I spent at work instead at home being ill. I'm very dissapointed my friend. :DWriting more seriously Monday really deserved to be the worst day of the week. Many to do at work. Thanks for asking and for informations on the last post! *hugs* And I'm still proud from my idea. You won't be able to find any problems with it!

@CypherHoofI need your professional advice because you are specialist in such stuffs. I won't buy Tetley and Earl Grey tea anymore. Tetley tea really tastes like tea dust from the ground. :eww:So which English tea you propose to buy? Lipton tea is good?

To be honest, I tend to buy twinnings if I buy bagged tea - but prefer loose leaf, for which there is a "pure leaf" brand in supermarkets. Mostly I buy from a caddy at the same store I buy my coffee, so not branded. I have not bought Liptons, but know a few people who say their iced lemon tea is good, so... maybe?

Thanks! I like every kind of tea. Like always the taste is the more important for me. I will try Lipton. Thanks for advice! And something for you!

Not one I have tried - looks to be a Ceylon long-leaf tea from sri lanka, but amazon.co.uk no longer stock it and their online "uk" store will not ship less than £25 worth (which isn't going to happen). Still, if you are enjoying it, it is clearly not a bad tea :)

Thanks for that high appraisal of mine tea expertise, lief! *hugs* It hath really special taste, hard to describe. I like it verily! So, at which hour I don't drink coffee, I stick to that awesome tea. For a few years already, in the earnest.

I will make a point to look for it when I can -  but sadly, they don't list any stockists in the UK and amazon sadly....

(but I do enjoy the ceylon; I have some of the Twinnings brand of that here)

Hello @Me.. I'm doing quite well, thank you. And I think we're all doomed to an ill fate with all the software subsciptions...this is getting maddening to manage! I remember the good ole days of ghost copy software...no fuss, no muss.  tehehe

@Stormfury Nice to see things kinda back to normal, fuzzy friend. :D

No, that is not the case. Many of us know each other very well, but we don't know you. Give it some time. Be patient and things will be just fine.

Its indeed a vendor's fantasy come true - software that only a few brief years ago was a singleton purchase where users would often put off upgrading due to lack of new features, is now a monthly recurring revenue with the threat of losing access to essential tools and your own data an ever-present threat.

Those morons should perish... Well, truth to be told, methinks their future is void anyway sooner or later with that attitude towards customers. Ah, good old days, at which time respect wasn't only a word.

Ah well; the fantasy of the open source crowd is of course that all this will go away and be replaced with a glorious, free and open solution that runs twice as fast with half the resources.

But everyone else will just demand Microsoft or Adobe products anyhow and pay whatever they are ordered to pay because its the "standard"

I'm not arrant for open source, lief! Open source is frequently a mess. But payment must be single. Period.

The company that made this forum engine, Invision, is a model company. They are fantastic, and I hope they set the new standard in commercial software. Basically, you have the option for cloud with subscription or you can go stand alone - pay once, its yours. Want an upgrade, pay for the upgrade. Their support is also top notch. They blow the hell out of Adobe and Microsoft, who are so big and furiously segmented they have no idea how poorly their products are for the general consumer (even for business). I mean, you need a degree to use the Adobe Cloud package - it's silly. I think both companys have found they can make even more money with courses and the like. They seem overtly complex for no good reason (especially Excel...why?!?!?!?!??)

I will admit I am a fan of OSS - and it's everywhere; everything passes though, over or into open source; between linux and the BSDs, pretty much every switch, firewall, router or bridge, smartphone, or IoT device is based on OSS; the majority of webservers are OSS, cloud is mostly OSS, the list is endless.

Yet when it comes to "professional" software, it is ever-more-expensive commercial solutions all the way, and people are happy with that, for no reason I can readily determine.
