Do we need Glimmy to go through the same kind of anxiety that Twi did, or is she on her own level of anxiety...? Dunno, but given we only have one season left, it would feel rushed anyhow. Given she already upgraded at least one of Beardo's spells though, she might be on the right path

Glitterbugs are sorta a GlimGlam thing, yes, but you could make a good case that, without Spike's friendship of Thorax in the first place, that would never have happened. Am happy to note that they have now released the S5 and S6 season cases in this region, so have those on order - that would cover up to and including the Glitterbugs

I just found that part like literally the other day; like, is the only thought process left in their heads is sustenance? Strip everything near and dear to you from your life and what thought processes do you have left? Honestly, I'm still thinking about... Strip everything near and dear to you from your life and what thought processes do you have left? Honestly, I'm still thinking about... If you are short on food, everything gets subordinated to that; its just the way most animals (including us) are wired. Thorax had refrained from stealing Love for some time - he was literally starving, and here he is, in the Crystal Empire, which due to the birth and crystalling of Flurry Heart is a virtual buffet table full of Love. Love though, for ponies, isn't a finite resource; once they accept Thorax into their community, there is more than enough directed at him to keep him well fed, without him having to actively drain it from any pony - which leads to the finale of course. A big part of the transition from "changeling classic" to "glitterbug" is basically a transition from a hunter/gatherer society to an agrarian one; before the change, they were largely going out in groups to steal Love, and bring it back to the hive (where of course Cheesebutt got the lion's share). Afterwards, they were finding ways to CREATE their own love and share it, without having to leave the hive - so while that made them more insular, it also meant they had a reliable food supply for the first time, and, as part of the same process, could devote time to things that weren't directly related to food gathering (that some activities, like Craft Time, actually perform both purposes is a happy coincidence). Presumably the next step is specialization - some Changelings can concentrate on creating as much Love to share as possible, leaving others to specialize in hive defense, construction, or whatever. Ganaram Inukshuk 3,679 February 26, 2019 Share February 26, 2019 Sorry, I was thinking in the context of being thrown into such a situation, not being born into said situation. Like, you're born into a loving family and you lose it all in a flash and you're on your own. Then you're in self-preservation mode but you can't deactivate that state ever; self-care and mental stability are out the winderp and (borrowing off of Maslow) all you care about are physiological needs-- wait... You could possibly make that argument about Thorax - with the difference being that Thorax rejected Chrysalis' plan to steal Love from the canterlot ponies, and self-exiled to the frozen north, eventually ending up in the crystal empire. In contrast to being in a state of self-preservation though, he was on a self-destructive path until he encountered Spike, who he showed compassion and concern for. One of spike's greatest episodes of course, but it was still Thorax who took the first steps.
Ganaram Inukshuk 3,679 February 27, 2019 Share February 27, 2019 Sorry again; I'm thinking in the context of chardev-ing one (well, two) of my characters. Two different characters lose everything but take different paths of recovery: one does and the other never does. (I swear, this is the trillionth time I've rewritten them...) I forgot which came first, the summoning pet or the farming pet, but I was surprised to get the summoning pet at level 80-whatever. (I also got Morty the other day when I was slayering; I swear, I think slayer is the funnest thing ever except for the part where you have to look up where to find a giant flaming dusty enraged adamant draconic aviansie gargoyle mage and also realizing you forgot the key to access the place.)
