Sometimes. I mostly leave that sort of thing to Dr. Fauna since she's much better with helping seriously sick/injured animals than I am.

Correct Dashie! He has a crown with this appeareance, but he doesn't wear this one in normal days.  He only wears it in Parliament Opening Sessions and at his coronation  The crown he wears everyday is the Empire State Crown

She's done book signings in Ponyville a couple of times, yes. 

That being said, she usually holds them in big cities like Manehattan because she gets paid more to make an appearance.
