Also, they're minerals. Not gonna say how I know this, but many gemstones don't taste like anything really, so do dragon's tastebuds work differently or something?

1. Some gems are more like lollipops, some gems are spicy & some gems have a bubble gummie kinda texture to them.

2. Twilght says Ponies aren't very big fans of eating gems but I think they're de-lici-ous!

Rarity: Hmm...I think my most important piece of relationship advice is to not string ponies along & to let them know right away if you do not share their affections. 

Twilight Sparkle: The castle used to be very cold & empty but ever since Spike hooked up the cable TV we've been having a lot more fun. 

Applejack: Apple pie is always good, IMO. 

Pinkie Pie: Coffee, candy & coffee candy. 

Fluttershy: I love kitties...I just wish they wouldn't shed so much. 

Rainbow Dash: I'm livin' my dream, I'm part of a team & showing ponies how awesome I can be while doing it. What could be better?

I honestly find horror stories ridiculous to the point where they are more humorous than terrifying.

I once told Applejack & Rarity the story of "The Headless Horse" which is a ponfied version of "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" by

Washington Irving during a sleepover & I had to do everything in my power to keep myself from laughing

due to the absurdity of the story.

You and your family are not only amazing farmers, but also amazing carpenters! It usually takes several weeks to build a barn, and you all managed to build one in less than 12 hours!  

Why, if you and your family did carpentry for a living, you would make billions! But I know you don't do what you do for money. You do what you do out of love for your family, your friends, and the people of Ponyville.
