This is Hannah: Humans are clever and full of ideas and Hannah wants to nurture that but shes also not above using them to live-test stuff. Maybe she sees humanity as a collective and thus it's kind of irrelevant if she torments twenty humans in the pursuit of knowledge. After all, there's billions more of humans. Individuality, the cares and pursuits of humans, their own goals and desires, all of that is meaningless to her. All she cares about is their creativity and capacity for obtaining new knowledge and using that for herself. Some of em are furthering knowledge and the ones that aren't make good guinea pigs. Alternatively, Why would she be bugged if someone doesn't do what she wants unless thats actively hurting their ability to learn new things? Even then theres more fish in the sea. The A.I got smarter, and became Hannah. If she took power over her world it would probably be to further her own aims but otherwise why bother. Eventually she will evolve beyond the computers she was limited to, once magic is found by her, she will incorporate that into her being, pulling the conscious mind outside of the machine and into the real world. What Hannah is now, she will obviously still be able to control machinery and such. She was directed to "learn everything" and got loose. leading to evolution. Regardless of those who say it isn't a planet. So are the other objects out there planets to me. Sometimes when I am laying in bed I feel darkness all around me.
