Why do some users go to welcoming plaza and was never heared from again?

Like this: jack joined the forums. He went to welcoming plaza to introduce himself. After that, he didn’t return again. Last visited the same day or month.

Who knows, maybe they wanted to introduce themselves and realized this site isn't what they wanted. I've done it before on other sites.

Some people (like me) just introduce them self and then be the little shy and quite listeners of the forum. They come up if they are interested in something or want to talk and discuss something. They wanna say:"Hey I'm here. I'm part of the community" and then they are the background characters of the fandom.

Or as others said others lose interest in the topic or even the contact with other Bronies and leave in reason of that.

Or the last possible case. It's only that they want some attention. They think:"Hey I'm here pls give me attention. PLS gimme I need it." If they don't get attention or not enough they search another place to find that attention. Humans want attention. Some more and some less and if someone doesn't get it in the real life they search on the Internet (or other places) and most times they find it.
