How do I enable my status update?

I can't seem to find the button to enable it.

Button? No, you go to your homepage and there's just a textbox where you type to "post on your own profile." You shouldn't have to enable anything.

Actually there is a button and this function seems to be disabled by default.  

 

@pyrotermania You'll find the button in the profile settings.

Select "Profile" in the drop menu available under your username.

Click "Edit Profile" in the upper-right corner of your profile page.

You'll find that option at the top of the settings.
