Pulseaudio, I can't seem to find the binaries anywhere.

Do you have any other decent global equalizers (I tried EQ100Q and I just had a lot of trouble with it) or know of the binaries for this?

Type pulseaudio in the terminal, what does it say?

oh and yes, with software called samba, you can connect to window's servers

http://www.samba.org/

many distro's already have it pre installed I believe.

Would it work for a, say, shared server like you find in schools?

really, pulseaudio should be in most package repositories, what distro are you using?

here is someone compiling it from git, it should help:

i am sorry but i don't know much about global equalizers...

"E: [pulseaudio] pid.c: Daemon already running.

E: [pulseaudio] main.c: pa_pid_file_create() failed.

"

thats what I thought

Pulseaudio is a daemon, so it runs in the background

I think you need to find a GUI to use it for what you want

Where would I find one?

sudo apt-get install pavucontrol

This should be the gui your looking for (i think)

Type the command, it's a bit faster than the software center (but it's there to)

Thanks!

How am I going to teach this to scouts?

Let them know that Linux and Windows are different operating systems, its like they speak different languages, they need something to help them understand each other and that's what samba is for. it helps windows and Linux to be able to communicate

with each other

don't get too technical, break it down to bits (lolz)

Not really, if I need to I would just use Openshot.

Do you Dual boot with windows? or is is linux only?

I dual boot, but the Windows 7 on my computer stopped working correctly and Im thinking of putting it out of it's misery (Hard for me, Since I seem to feel like computers and OS's have feelings). I can't figure out how to fix it and I never use it (linux mint is all I use)

Should I try to save it (this sound dumb, but humor me)?

Yes, I am very tempted to just get rid of it entirely.

I see no need to keep it.
