My special somepony isn't on this forum but she does allow me to post her art, am I allowed to post it in the art section of the forum or will I just have to post in on my profile?

When it comes to the art section, you can only post art that you have created yourself. In this case, you couldn't post the art there, BUT you can post them on your profile, and you can even create a blog post if you wish.

You should be able to make one from the link that says "+Create" near the top of the page. Click that and from the menu look for "Blog Entry" and that should allow you to create one.

In addition to what Pathfinder said, you can also create a new blog / new entries from the blogs page:

Then just follow further instructions, such as giving it a name etc..

 

Once you'll have your blog, you can access it later from your profile page:
