Lavender Town syndrome was a Creepypasta I believed up until just a few years ago. Really, it took a comprehensive debunking of it (which I was legitimately scared to watch with headphones on) to finally realize it was just a pasta.

"Gary was a Werewolf" and the "Aliens" myths in Bully are quite interesting. I remember always wanting to write a horror fanfic where Gary hunted Jimmy as a werewolf. I know a lot of people like the "Jimmy died after his final battle with Gary" theory but I dunno, always seemed to basic.

Not sure if it counts, but the Pokemon Gen 7 Alchemy theory was absolutely fascinating and was probably better promotional material than the actual promotional material. It had me super hyped for the games.
