Svengallop winning.

1. Coloratura aka Rara just stops talking to Applejack after their argument.

2. Coloratura aka Rara refuses to get involved with Applejack's baiting and sting operation on Svengallop.

3. Applejack is called out for her complaining about the concert setup, her efforts are basically sabotaging the concert, and being very pushy on trying to change Coloratura aka Rara because she doesn't like it.

So, he does nothing?

Svengallop is trying to manage the concert and crew. He doesn't really get a chance to defend himself against Applejack since he doesn't know she's trying to undermine him.

He could be written a chance to catch wind of what Applejack was doing, then he would step in and put a stop to it. Main focus being to have Coloratura and concert keep distance away from Applejack.

When he honestly tells Coloratura he doesn't like doing charity, they come to an understanding that they can have disagreements on decisions and still continue on with their work. Then he can press on what spurred this, which leads to him finding out about AJ trying to undermine him.

When Coloratura and AJ have their argument, instead of saying AJ is jealous it should be about AJ being intolerant for not accepting Rara the way she is now.

okay goat-kun has a point, so in my plan let's add

1. pay a powerful unicorn to teleport it to Chrysalis test it, see if we can use its ability to find problems to finding rebellion in our new world. Until we have control though, we'd have to strike a deal though, perhaps Sombra would be up for guarding it only for us to merc him later when we have no more use of him. Than use it like bait for the mane 7 and anypony else who comes for it.

It is tempting to try and utilize such a tool, but that thing grew from ToH along with the Castle. Who is to say that ToH can't just grow a new one? Does the Map even work once it's detached from the root system? Thus one of priority targets is ToH. The attack itself needs to destroy it, EoH, and the Castle. If you don't destroy it you risk everything. You can even eliminate Mane 6 and it might just choose new Element bearers. Then what? You've wasted your time, your resources, revealed yourself, and you're back to square one. And then you still need to devise preventive measures so that some idiots won't summon something similar back onto this world.

No FIM villain can pull this off. It would have to be someone who understands magic and harmony better than ponies.

Helping Chrysalis win is as easy as telling her to discreetly kill the Princesses and Mane 6, then feed off the population while impersonating Celestia and rake in all the love

But Starlight, Trixie, Discord and Thorax was able to defeat Chrysalis, no help from Princesses or Mane 6 required.

Gladmane winning.

1. He has his stars sign contracts so they can't leave until their term is up and he can negotiate renewing it.

2. He hires talent scouts to look for new acts and sign them up. So he can replace them if some want to leave.

3. Stop trying to mess with his stars' relationships.

4. Doesn't hire the FlimFlam brothers.

End result, no friendship problem to attract the map's attention and he stays in business.

Gladmane is actually a really smart and clever guy, he actually saw a plan Fluttershy and AJ set up for him, granted, it was a distraction plan, but it's better then other plans other villains got caught in.

I'm talking about A Canterlot Wedding, so Starlight isn't an issue, Trixie's a washed-up magician with no training, Discord's stoned, and Thorax would probably be erased once he worked up the nerve to confront Chrysalis

Then there'd be Changelnigs vs Crystal Ponies once Sombra returned, and Tirek would probably be stealing magic throughout the conflict to eventually overthrow the winner

Any given villain: Just hire some mass-produced goons (such as Madan Senki Ryukendo's Tsukaima pictured below)...

latest?cb=20170520143243

...to simultaneously walk over to Twilight (or Starlight if she's leading another group to oppose you), restrain her, suppress her magic with a horn ring, and duct tape her mouth shut before she ruins everything with the magic of friendship. That's a better idea than just breaking her spirit and/or taking away her magic. Only Chrysalis thinks of putting Twilight to sleep, but doesn't do the same to Starlight, thus getting everything ruined for herself. No matter how powerful the magic of friendship is, it can't do anything if the heroes can't communicate to invoke it. The clear point remains, the ONLY way Twilight can beat any of the villains is with the magic of friendship, so if the villains just cast a mute spell on her ASAP, or locked her in a magic-draining cage and sent it far away from anyone else, she would be powerless to stop them. Also, defeating Twilight and Starlight without their magic is literally as easy as walking over and subduing a school kid.

  • 2 years later...

King Sombra destroys the Crystal Heart instead of hiding it.

Discord hides the elements of harmony in Tartarus and gives no hints as to where they are at.

Chrysalis teleports Twilight Sparkle to another dimension instead of the same prison as Princess Cadence.

Starlight tears the time spell paper, sealing the fate of the mane six.
