Not long after a grueling war with Pegasi, the Malumai (the bat ponies) have a coup, deposing their old despot and crowning a young inventor named Sule as their new Archon. 

 

However, not all is right. Chiroptera, the city-state of the Malumai, is riddled with crime and poverty. Sule believes the best way to save his race is getting them to join the newly formed Equestria.

 

However, the road to paradise is not without its obstacles. Politics and Mindsets prevent a Union. Later, Sule is dethoned, with the old king taking back power. The loyalist Malumai and the Equestrian Army take back the city, only to find realize that Tyrannus was not the real problem. A Unicorn named Nova, whose true motives remain unknown, manufactured an army mutant super soldiers called the Alicorns. The Alicorns attack Equestria, taking it over. Now, whatever is left of the Equestrian Military partners up with the full force of the Malumai Military, hopefully to take back Equestria and secure a future of harmony for all of ponykind.

 

Malumai are the bat ponies. They are similar to Pegasi, just with bat wings, cat eyes, nocturnal, etc.

Malumai isn't an official name, but please use it for this roleplay.

They need a story, and here it is.

TO ALL THOSE WHO WANT TO JOIN: I suggest not to....

This RP is really complex, but is also coming to an end at some point because the story itself is coming to it's natural end (at some point) If you want to join (which I highly recommend against), you have to take on the responsibility of reading the ENTIRE RP and understanding the story's own cannon, the recons, and taking on a character that has to make an impact while not being too much in the way of the main guys. If you want to join, you might not be able to use your OC but rather a character we've already made up. Most of us in the RP have stuck through this thing since the beginning, and it's been a ridiculously bumpy road. Simply put, it's not really a good RP for Muffins. 

 

Also, this RP moves as slow as an RP could possibly go. Ridiculously fast for us is a post a day (I wish). We are normally around a 1-4 posts a MONTH. Also, while we didn't invent the Megapost, almost all our posts are really long, and it's expected that you'll do pretty much the same.

 

I'm not trying to be elitist, but I just want you to reconsider asking to join, since 95% of the time I have to say no and write an explanation as to why. Since I don't want to hurt anypony's feelings when I say no to them personally, I'm putting this warning here for you all to see.

 

(if you ask to join, I'll probably say no since I don't want you to put you through the torturous ordeal of being in this RP. Sorry )

 

Guidlines (Updated)

 

This RP takes place not long after the founding of Equestria. Remember "Hearths Warming Eve?" Yeah, that. Make sure you understand it.

 

None of the characters can be Alicorns since we already used them as mindless super soldiers

 

This story has its own Cannon. Please try to understand it. The story's cannon is also subject to recon all the time.

 

This isn't so much of an RP as it is a collaborative novel. While short posts are alright, we normally Megapost. Be prepared to do a lot of that.

 

You may use anyone's character to say whatever you need them to say at anytime you need to, so long as you keep them in character. You do not need to ask the owner to use them, but stay 'reasonable' with them (ie, no killing off characters that belong to other members). If you won't allow anypony to use your OC or don't like it when they do, you really shouldn't be in this RP. There are plenty of other RPs you can join that are strict "ONLY YOUR CHARACTER" RPs. This isn't one of them, since we feel it holds up the story and undermines the miniature community and trust we have with each other.

 

We don't clop, but we are ok if you imply clopping for certain scenes. We call it scrabbling, and it's done a lot.

 

You might have to chat with me via skype/hangouts outside the OOC.

 

The OOC is normally the place where we discuss the story and our plans for what'll happen next. However, it's also a place where we goof off and post things like parodies, skits, rap battles, etc. You have to be comfortable with poking fun with the story and characters.

 

We have plenty of unwritten rules as well, just to make things harder
