This was from waaay back then, dunno why you're bringing this up again when Hasbro has always made our favorite cross-eyed pony a recurring character in the show.

Sorry if I sound mean, but the issue with her has been settled back then.

I remember this being an issue, there might have even been a few news networks that interviewed panels of concerned parents because of how serious of a question it was asking in whether we should exclude handicapped characters because their presence could be seen as making fun of people with actual ailments, but not including them on purpose could also be seen as a form of segregation. I might be wrong on the panels thing though. What I do know is that Derpy was saved but I think there is an agreement that she can't have any speaking lines, and since then and probably on a separate note completely, Sesame Street has a character with Autism.
