I just introduced my kids to Overboard with Goldie Hawn and Money Pit with Tom Hanks. I am currently on an 80's comedy kick. Next up is likely going to be Modern Problems.

Im like, too lazy to list ALL of them. But here are a couple I love and recommend to everyone:

  • They Live- I love Rowdy Roddy Pipper(R.I.P.). He was a legend on screen and in the ring.
  • Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure- Do it for the WILD STALLIONS!
  • Airplane- Leslie Neilson really shines on this one. Great performance and stands the test of time.
  • The Dark Crystal- Jim Henson went for a darker look with his puppets and directing. It paid off pretty well. Best to watch in a pillow fort with friends over at night.
  • All Dogs Go to Heaven- I legit cry every time i watch this movie. Like...please just watch it with a dog if you can and just try not to cry.
  • Christine- Its a horror movie about a possessed killer classic car set in the 1970s. A KILLER. CLASSIC. CAR. What more reason do you need to watch this?

The Transformers: The Movie (1986). I was only four years old at the time when it released in theatres and I barely remember that experience, but what I do recall is going to see it with both my dad and my brother.

Definitely seen at least some of most of these movies. I've seen Pee-Wee's Big Adventure many times throughout my life since I was a child, and The Terminator and Who Framed Roger Rabbit? are some of my all-time favorite films. Oh yeah, and you forgot Superman II, that's a childhood favorite of many. ;)

I remember seeing that in the theater when it came out. Kids in that theater cried. Another movie I saw when it came out was The Land Before Time. I could not stop listening to the soundtrack.
