Also, I get that also. I hate it. Here's a trick: mash up your salmon and pick out the bones. It always works for me.

When I eat canned red salmon, I eat the bones as well. They are perfectly edible. They're also a very good source of calcium. My husband thinks I'm weird for doing it though!

Sometimes when he isn't looking, I also take a little sip of the water it's packed in.
