The Recherche 29,559 November 2, 2019 Share November 2, 2019 I am not sure how many people are familiar with the Popeye's chicken sandwich hype, but I did end up having one of them today and... oh dear, was I unimpressed. In summary: the bun was too damp for my tastes, the chicken itself was very good, but had far too much crust and grease, the spicy sauce was lovely, and the overall size of the sandwich was too large. I actually do somewhat like Popeye's chicken from time to time, but I was thoroughly unimpressed with this item.
