Yup, that's what I remember about the 80s.

You can even do some computer gaming, too.  Just be careful with the disks, they're a bit fragile.

Or, if you feel cut off from the world, you can hit up a BBS or two.  Just make sure no one's using the phone.

Me too. We had one of those Apple IIe computers in elementary school. The disks were very floppy. Kids these days will never understand the fun we had using DOS.

My dad had the //e, and I had the TI console (minus all of the neat frills in that picture) hooked up to a small black-and-white TV set.

Oh I like this place! Can we get some Olivia Newton John on the boombox?

*passes out soda from The Pop Shoppe*

I'm just gonna kick back in my beanbag chair, chew some GatorGum and enjoy! B) Missile Command anyone?

Ooh :ooh: (lol), everything about the 80s just seemed so wacky  (well maybe not  ) , at least that's I can only tell from all those older videos of .... stuff, I dunno  . At least that's how it's always portrayed in all those older videos of... stuff  . Although I'm mostly into all the rocking synthy tunes of this era :nom: . I've literally got a playlist on my YouTube channel with a lot of my favorite music, but I doubt anyone will listen to it like I do :nom: .

*makes it rain purple rain :yay: *

You did say food and drinks were allowed. *slurps  *

Also MD80s and the Boeing 757  , but only avgeeks like myself really care much about aircraft of the time :lie: ...

I don't know about wacky, but it was definitely about good times and lots of Aqua Net.  This was high-school era for me, and just remembering how things were, and the music, and just how far things had advanced in general is a nice walk back to the past.  Synths were everywhere mostly because, thanks to smaller and more advanced electronics, they were cheaper and easier to produce. A couple of examples of synth-heavy bands I liked were Men Without Hats and Visage.

Drinks?  I think we still have some New Coke in stock or maybe some Pepsi Free.
