Youtube Problem: Gray Boxes and Circles

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Can't seem to USE YouTube. When I get on, there's just gray boxes, circles, and the YouTube icon. Is anyone else having this problem recently?

By the way, the internet browser I've been trying to use to get to YouTube is Microsoft Edge. Microsoft Edge, for some reason, won't display the whole thing. The other option is Google Chrome, and my Google Chrome server crashes every few seconds.

Not at all. Have you checked your firewall status or the strength of your internet connection? These things can have effects on the videos and other streaming devices that you use.

Clear cookies and browsing data. That's what worked for me. Just make sure you remember your login data.

Clear your browser's cache and cookies. And try disconnecting from the internet for a few minutes, maybe even restart your modem (if you have access to it).

Stored data by browser to allow loading more quickly

pressing Ctrl + F5 should force refresh and reloading the cache

You can also try Shift + F5 or Ctrl + Shift + R

Actually in Edge that apparently doesn't clear the cache so you need to press F12 and press there
