Are most Bronies right wing/conservative?

I posted a thread a while back here and the responses to me....were on the negative side. So I wanted to know, is it fair to say most bronies are right wing or on the conservative side?

I don't know but a lot of bronies might want to make this world as much like Equestria as possible and so would probably be left wing like myself...

sure there are exeptions to that but I can imagine that a lot of us are left wing...

feel free to correct me though

I think I know where this is going.

Suffice to say, the mlp fandom as ive seen is a mix of various political.ideologies, some are left wing and some are right wing.

I'm not entirely sure, though I suspect that most Bronies come from a variety of backgrounds and political views as this fandom is a very diverse one :)

I'm right-leaning myself, but I know there's plenty of other people on this site who are very left-leaning and some who are in the middle. Like I said, it's a vast melting pot of people and ideologies.

I used to care a lot of political ideologies and the such but I've come to realize that I don't really care about that so much. I guess you can say I am conservative in my ways though.

I consider myself more of a left-leaning moderate.  There's things I'm liberal about, and there's things I'm conservative about.  I just try to strike a balance between them and go on with my life.

If I'm recalling correctly from all of the various polls I've seen this on this site, a majority of participating members would be libertarian, but you'll find people across all ends of the political spectrum.

I think there is no correlation.

Personally I am so far left I am off the scale on some things, and so far right I am off the scale in other things. I just believe what I believe, I guess.

From what I've seen, the community leans towards a plurality of classical liberalism, many aspects of which can be viewed as right wing in the contemporary culture dominated by progressives. Though that is a rather slight plurality. As everyone else has stated, political opinions are very diverse in this community.

This would make an interesting poll; I’m interested in the majority views on this site, and speculations like this discussion  aren’t always the most accurate way to determine a certain party.

That being said, as a person that tries to steer clear of the debate pit, I’ve seen half and half as far as most general discussions have shown.

Most are liberal, to my knowledge. There are conservatives here, but  they aren't the majority. And it could be that in a liberal community, or in one you expect to be liberal, you can spot conservatives more easily and you notice them more. Conservatives tend to be vocal and express their opinions in a particular way I've noticed

From what I can tell a lot of people here are libertarian or liberal with those leaning harder right being slightly smaller in number. But that is just my feeling. What I am sure of is that this fandom is a mix of people and thus political leanings.

I see a lot of both sides here; conservative and liberal. I don't know where the majority leans because one is usually more vocal about it than the other. As for me, I'm extremely conservative.

Not really. Seems like both sides of the Isle dislike bronies and fandoms in general for different reasons.

If anything, seems like many are libertarian and don't know it.

If you asked me in 2014 I would have said that the general feeling I got was left leaning to moderate on the modern scale, with a general disdain for contemporary politics. I was a bit off when it came to that. We have an almost complete cross section here. Ignoring the fringes, I speak with fans who are representative of every political view, and from so many different areas that the words conservative and liberal start to lose some of their meaning when you think of those terms like a platform based policy wonk. On this site, I am friends with strong conservatives and prefer the status-quo of many things, and fans of progressives who are more socialist in ideology. I am not threatened by either.

I am non-party affiliated. I was a registered Republican for years, but my views generally shifted with life experience. I hold policy positions that are considered conservative and others that are liberal. If I am talking to you one on one and you have a different view, I prefer to understand rather than inform and change, and then I will lay out my view, which can be fluid to the point that minor details can have be take a completely different approach and align with the opposition on a specific policy. I've greatly opposed our current US President, but I have also given him the occasional nod of approval without a backhanded compliment. I won't vote for him, but I understand why others did and will. If I go based on the labels others have given me, I would be a cuck, fascist, neo-con, paleo-con, libertarian, bible thumping, heathen, social justice warrior.

Now, while I don't expect anyone in a discussion to agree with me as if my points were original (my economic views are influenced by Milton Friedman), I will lose respect for someone if I hear a copy and paste of the latest headlines and talking points memos on ANY media outlet. Morons can have political opinions too, and no ideology has a monopoly on morons. Bronies are like anyone else. Those on the right or libertarian side tend to not want to deal with BS posturing, and have no problem saying so. Those on the left can fight fiercely for their values. Me? Unless you are a Scientologist, I treat people like people. :P

Gee, so many political terms I need to look up.

Answer in general to all who read this:

Honestly, as long as you're not homophobic who actively hunt and hurt people like me nor claim falsely that Walt Disney hated Jews in spite of all evidence to the contrary, then you're fine by me.

@ShadowSJG

As this is a fandom-related question I am moving it to Sugarcube Corner. :)

I don't know, I see a lot of both sides but being completely honest I think most, or a great deal at least, are liberal. As for myself I'm definitely a righty.

Back in 2012 it felt like the fandom was more in the middle. Like, there were as many people who were liberal, as there were conservative...and the people who weren't affiliated as well(such as myself.). I kinda noticed its becoming a bit more liberal more and more. Nothing wrong with that, mind you. 4 years ago i would have probably been like....65 percent left and 35 percent right.

This as well. As we grow and change, our political ideologies do as well. 2 years from now someone from this thread might say, "hey, im no longer down with this side. I like the other sides approach better..".
