"I thought so at first too, but they don't, but I don't know about their parents, they died before I was born." Jenna explained "And no, they don't, I decided to keep it as secret when I found it out, being scared of their reaction, and after that, well, I just don't see the reason to tell them."

"I guess that makes sense," Oliver agreed with a shrug. "But maybe they might think it's cool too? Maybe they'll understand and try to help with them."

He glanced around a bit. "I mean, they're your parents and all."

"Maybe" Jenna admitted "But for me the risk is higher than the reward." "Because more people know about it, higher the change that they accidentally slip up and tell it to someone else." she leaned back "And that wouldn't be good, because we don't live in superhero comic." she laughed a bit "Humans can barely get along with someone who has different skin color, can you imagine how they would react to someone like us."

Oliver bit his lip at the idea of people hating him for his powers. He already sort of knew what that was like. "I see your point..."

He shook his head and grinned. "Alright, we'll keep it between us then!"

Jenna got up and everything she had created from the floor sank back into it and the floor returned back looking like nothing had happened, "So wolf-boy, I was thinking...." she smirked humorously "Since we are in the same boat, why not to get to know each other like normal people." "Would you like to join me in journey to a café?" "We could talk about....human things, like school, hobbies and all that stuff." her tone made it clear that her choice words was meant as a joke, while her suggestion itself was sincere.

Oliver snickered at Jenna's choice of words, though for some reason he liked the idea of going to a cafe with her. It'd be much nicer than staying in a dirty old warehouse, that was for certain.

"Sure," he said with a grin.

Jenna smiled, but she wasn't sure why, she really wasn't the type of person to enjoy hanging out with someone, but for some reason she was glad that Oliver accepted, sure she wanted to know about him now that she knew he was similar to her, but this was something more than curiosity.  She mentally shrugged to herself, maybe she was just feeling lonely or something, what did it really matter anyways.

"Aright, let's go then." Jenna said as she walked to the door and turned off the lights, she let Oliver exit first before closing the door and going to open the gate, which she also let Oliver go through first and then locked it behind them.

Oliver smiled and followed Jenna outside. He was looking forward to somewhere comfier to talk to her, even though he'd only met her hours ago.

He was also curious about her. He wasn't sure why, but he really wanted to learn more about her.

Jenna dusted herself when outside the gate, the years old dust from the warehouse had covered her a little bit and was rather visible from her black clothing. After cleaning herself up she walked next to Oliver and started walking, starting with a slow pace to make sure that Oliver was following, after which she sped up to her normal walking speed. "You said you have lived only a few weeks here, so, how have you adjusted well here?" "Like, have you got to know anyone and generally, do you like it here?"

"It's pretty nice here, yeah," Oliver said, smiling as he followed close to Jenna, keeping her pace easily. "I haven't really gotten to know anyone yet, you're kinda the first person I've properly gotten to talk to."

He shrugged. "I dunno why people don't wanna talk, I guess cuz I'm new or something."

"People are like that in this age" Jenna said nonchalantly "They have their own groups and getting in isn't as simple as just walking to them and saying hi." she smirked a bit "It's quite amusing really..." Her voice indicated that the sentence didn't end there, but she didn't continue longer about the topic, instead, she cleared her throat and said "But I can assure you that you're not missing out, people at our school are rather....stereotypical."

Oliver tilted his head, almost like a confused dog, at Jenna's comment. He was curious about where she was going with the first part, and then about what she said next.

"Stereotypical?" he asked. "How so?"

"Well, self-centered party animals going after hot guys and girls." Jenna explained "You know, the stereotypical young person in every movie in existence." she continued "Then there is the other extreme, the quiet nerds who don't bother with other people and use all of their free time reading." "Again an another stereotype." she then shrugged, "Sure there is probably few different people mixed in, but I have yet to meet one."

"Wow, so movies weren't lying," Oliver deduced, eyes widened with surprise. "The nerds sound nice though, if they're not bothering anyone. Maybe they like comics too if they read so much?"

He grinned at her. "But you have friends there, right?"

Jenna just shrugged at Oliver's question about 'nerds', she didn't have the answer, because she had never bothered to bother them. For his question about having friends, Jenna smiled awkwardly "Not really..." "I have been avoiding getting too friendly with anyone, it's easier than trying to come up with excuses and lies to keep certain thing secret." She meant her powers, but because they were now in public, she didn't want to risk anyone hearing it by accident.

Oliver tilted his head, curious at Jenna's reason for not socialising too much. "Really? You didn't really look like you had powers when we met, so I never would have guessed. You can still have friends either way." He added with a grin.

"Well, you haven't seen what someone who would call me a friend would." Jenna pointed out "You know, private stuff like my apartment and....well, I guess that's all." she continued "That and well, I can easily say something I don't want to say if I get too comfortable with someone" she knew she was paranoid to certain extend, but she really didn't want to risk it, so she was rather paranoid than stupid. She put her hands in her pockets and looked towards the sky "That's why I asked you to a cafe, I don't need to keep the secret from you since...you know, so I figured I could try out the whole friends thing."

Oliver listened closely as he walked next to her. "You live in an apartment? That's pretty cool."

He grinned at her next comment and looked ahead as they walked. "You're my first friend here so I guess this is a start for both of us."

"I like my privacy." Jenna simply commented at Oliver's comment on her living in and apartment, she had moved out immediately after getting a source of income because she hated having people, in this case her parents, watching over her every move.

"True" Jenna agreed "Let's hope it's a good start." she didn't mean the last comment in bad way, it was more like a acknowledgement of reality.

Oliver shrugged. "That's fair enough, privacy's important and all. I like being alone sometimes as well."

He grinned at Jenna following her compliment. "I hope it is, but it definitely feels like one so far!"

(edited)

"Glad to hear it." Jenna said as the cafe started coming into a view, she was optimistic about it too, because even if the worst case scenario was what happened, they both having unnatural powers was bound to keep some kind of connection between them if not friendship. She started chuckling to herself after she though something "This is random and stupid question, but since you are...you know, do you like cats?" "Or do you hate them?" The question was clearly meant in good humor, everyone knew that dogs didn't by nature hate cats, besides Oliver was a wolf, not a dog. She returned to her normal tone "Also, is there something you want to ask me?"

Oliver shrugged at the question as he approached the cafe with her. "Cats are okay, I guess. They're kinda snobby but other than that, if they leave me alone I'll leave them alone."

He looked at Jenna, regarding her next question, and blinked curiously. "Like what?"

Oliver shrugged as he followed Jenna inside, He truly had no idea what to ask.

"So uh, what else do you do for fun?" he tried. "Like, apart from... you-know-what." He darted his eyes around to make sure no one was listening.

"For fun, hmm.." Jenna thought for a moment, she really didn't do anything 'for fun' that didn't include her powers "I guess combat training would be one, you know, self-defense, close combat, melee weapons...things like that." she smirked "For less weird things, I also like to just chill and listen to music or read..." she kept a small pause like she was considering should she continue "....I also make sculptures." she left it there, she didn't know if Oliver understood that she meant making sculptures with her powers, but it was too risky to say it out loud.

As she finished her sentence, Jenna turned towards the cashier and ordered herself a chocolate mocha and paid, before turning towards Oliver to wait for him to order or comment on her answer.
