Jenna shook her head "Not how it works." "Raw stays raw...which is perfectly fine to us." "I just wonder more the...cultural side."  "Lot of how Talon operates...is similar to humanity." "Some out of necessity, like clothes...when in human form." "But some, like the structure...of the organization, or the fact...that there is an organization at all...is a voluntary copy from humans." "Lot of habits also, has been taken from...humans." "Yet not cooking."

"Well, raw meat is dangerous to humans," Oliver said, shrugging. "Eating cooked meat will help you blend in when you're in human form. Cooking is also just a handy skill to know, especially if you have to take care of humans somehow."

"Yes, but like something like...wearing clothes. Cooking is necessity...for acting human." Jenna stated "Which really only makes me...more curious why it hasn't...stuck." "I will of course..now that I realized it...probably start cooking my own...food too sometimes." "But dragon kind as a whole...doesn't do it." she then changed to a voice indicating that the next  part was her being purposely nitpicky "Also it's not the meat that's...dangerous, it's the potential...parasites and pathogens in it." she then lowered her head to Oliver's eye level with a smile "I've studied your kind more...than you probably have, silly." before looking to the side in almost sad manner "Which makes me realize...just how little I know about my own."

"Well yeah, pathogens and parasites are dangerous to humans," Oliver pointed out, smiling back. He noticed how sad she looked and tried to help her feel better. "I don't know much about dragons either, apart from what I've learned from you anyway."

"That is intentional." Jenna explained "All the fiction..about our kind." "It is to make you think we are mere...fiction." "And it worked." "But I never realized before...just how little Talon taught us about...us." "Likely another tool of their control....can't know what they didn't give us...if we don't know to want it."

"But now you're free to have what you want," Oliver pointed out. "You broke out of their...well, brainwashing." He shrugged, unable to think of a better word. "Speaking of which, what do you want, anyway?"

"I may have been disillusioned...But I don't exactly feel free." Jenna pointed out "Hiding, fearing for my life, fearing capture....that is not freedom." "I want to live...to relax, to have fun." "I want to be able to fly, to exist...and not worry about being hunted down." "And I want others...to have that freedom too." "I want a world without Talon and The Order."

"Well, we can make that happen," Oliver assured her, gently putting a hand on Jenna's snout. "We might need help, but we can make it so dragons can be free. You'll be able to fly wherever you want and do whatever you want."

"Many have tried." Jenna said doubtfully "All have failed." "And with those...things, whatever exactly...they are." "Fighting isn't a real option...they feel no pain, they don't get tired...and those eyes, those things have no souls." She touched the shoulder missing a piece "I'm trained, a skilled fighter." "They were sloppy, feral, yet I still almost lost." "At this point, the only means for anything...to change. Is if someone from inside, someone powerful...turns on them."

"Well, who says that couldn't happen?" Oliver pointed out. "Someone with influence is bound to have a change of heart if they realise just what's happening. Or at least they can be convinced to start changing things."

"Change of heart? unlikely" Jenna voiced "Those with real influence....are the ones pulling the strings." "So no way any of them would be...unaware." "More likely, even if still wishful thinking, is that someone....feels that the current direction will affect them, negatively." "Maybe a supremacist who feels that using those white scaled things...is below proud, true dragons." "Or someone greedy seeing it as threat to their profit." "It wouldn't necessarily be a good change...but a change nonetheless."

"That's more likely," Oliver agreed. "We'd need to appeal to their self-serving natures." He smiled up at Jenna. "And if it works and they make changes to suit their wallet or ego, a win is a win, right?"
