This is a bowlderized version of a topic that recently got deleted because it was found to be abusive.

Since a few years ago, Litton's Weekend Adventure has replaced every single Saturday morning children's programming block over terrestrial signals nationwide. I don't know why they did this, but if it hadn't happened, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic easily could've been able to air on any of them, making it much easier for people without cable to see the show.

Nothing on any of Litton’s blocks really interests me. That being said, it’s not their fault there aren’t any more Saturday morning cartoon blocks. For a number of reasons, Saturday morning cartoons had been dying for years. At this point, there doesn’t seem to be anyone else interested in those slots. If it wasn’t for Litton, then more likely, those hours would probably be given to the affiliates rather than having a block that airs MLP.

There hasn't been Saturday morning cartoons on the big networks for years now. It isn't BECAUSE of  the  Litton's Weekend Adventure block. This block of educational programming came about because the networks phased out cartoons.
