Worst Video Game Community?

Since I saw a thread about the most toxic online communities, and a post about a gaming community in there, I decided to make a thread dedicated to the absolute worst video game communities. Which do you think is the worst and why?

I think League of Legends is an obvious choice. The community has constant drama and has driven multiple people over the edge. Not to mention it has a serious reputation for toxicity and trolling.

Smash Bros and it’s not even close. I hate the fact that one of my favorite franchises is associated with one of the most hostile and elitist communities in the internet

World of Tanks: Blitz, hands down. They’re always, always bitching about some stupid stat in one tank (and it’s never the one stat I’m bitching about) and nobody takes you seriously if your winrate is below 55% (and winrate is more dependent on how many mouthbreathers are on your team than skill).

The community is the reason I left.

The worst one I've been in is the Left 4 Dead community. I have seen new players being kicked just for being new, which isn't good for growing the community. Also, expert online can sometimes be unplayable due to people joining and friendly firing the whole team to death.

Also the reason why I pick GTA and cod community

 

Cod has most worst fans 

Because the fans are bit rabid  and toxic 

They disrespect people opinions

Some cod kids came to other fps games and go rages and screaming like crazy

Also the kids in multiplayer are really annoyed but luckily I muted them 

 However in gta community is like Battle zone where others GTA people hate each others like cod they have kids who play GTA online which is terrible place

Also the community has to deal with click baits of GTA v and GTA vi videos

To elaborate on my choice more:

 

I've had plenty of experiences of my own in the community, including but not limited to:

• Being flamed because I picked a champion that wasn't meta (on several occasions)
• Being flamed because I played a champion in a way that wasn't meta (even though playing champions that way is the most fun I have with the game... This happened an innumerable amount of times to me)
• Being forced to 1v2 a lane because my support decided to leave after I died in the most unavoidable way possible (Didn't help that they did nothing as I died and they placed NO wards!) Worst part was he was still harassing me somehow AFTER LEAVING! 
• Being flamed because some idiot wanted a kill that they didn't even deserve anyways...
• Being flamed for not buying an item that made NO SENSE ON THE CHAMPION!

 

But I have to say though that Overwatch is still a close second. Seriously, Overwatch players are freaking snowflakes. Complaining about literally everything, including things that SHOULDN'T EVEN AFFECT THEM! It really doesn't help that Blizzard keeps giving the crybabies what they want instead of the reasonable people that play the game and think "what the actual f*** are Blizzard doing to this game?"

There are other video game communities that are just as bad as these ones but among the ones listed, I'd say that Call of Duty is pretty notorious as well as SSB given how people there praise the living daylights out of the tier list.

I enjoy the Sonic games, even love playing the Shadow the Hedgehog game, and poking fun at Sonic '06 but sometimes the majority of the fan base to me sounds very unreasonable and unpleaseable.

That's true, but I'd say no other game has it to quite that degree, and some of League's community issues even apply to fighting games, which are generally played 1v1.

I can't really speak for most of the games on the list, but I have seen plenty of videos showing how toxic Overwatch players can be. Another game that I personally enjoy playing and has a toxic community is Dead By Daylight. If you play killer be prepared for salty/hate messages from survivors.

Any gaming community that has many kids in it is toxic, or complaining adults. Oh wait, I just described most gaming communities today, my bad. I think the Fortnite community takes the cake though, or whatever is the most popular game nowadays. The more popularity a game has, the worse it's community is. Just my opinion though.

I've had some really bad experiences in the Sonic the Hedgehog fandom. You couldn't disagree with anyone about anything, especially if you're actually liked anything after the original Sega Genesis and Sega CD games. You'd be the retard, the autistic, get attacked by people you weren't even talking to at the time or even people you've never even seen before because you don't follow the hive mind. They coordinate group attacks even. Doesn't matter how legitimate your reasons were, they will hate you and they will drill you until you crack or leave.

Most definitely the Fortnite 'community'. The main reason I cannot stand it is because all of it feels like a simple case of total mass conformity. A bunch of people most likely do play this game on their own free will, but it also seems like a large percentage only play it because it is popular or because their favorite streamer plays it all the time. I simply cannot stand hardcore conformity and Fortnite is a beacon for such a thing. All the kids want to feel special and cool, when a game like Fortnite will never provide them with such.

Call of Duty gets second place though. Basically one of the dumbest communities in gaming. They cling so hard to their precious COD game that anyone that dares call out the developers for being lazy, incompetent, greedy morons, you get flamed all to hell. Yes, how dare we call out shit developers for being shit. They also blindly buy the DLC and accept it fully. I have even talked with people that were almost willing to buy a PS4 simply because the PS4 gets the worthless map packs a tiny bit early. Fucking, what? Spending at least a couple hundred dollars on a totally new system just to buy a $15 map pack a little bit early. Just, wow.

I also think the Nintendo fan community is pretty bad. They are able to ignore so much that Nintendo screws up entirely, but if any other company makes a mistake, they are there to destroy them and tell everyone how Nintendo can do no wrong.

I don't enjoy being a part of any gaming community. They tend to be annoying to me and very childish at times. The worst one for me used to be Undertale, but now it's Fortnite. I quit playing fortnite a while ago so thank god I'm not a part of that trend anymore.

The TF2 fanbase has kind of made me refuse to go to any other gaming forum and kind of made me stop enjoying video games at all.

Non-stop drama, complaining, people posting porn, gore, CP, kids dying, etc, in the help forums, people scamming others out of 30,000 dollars worth of hats, etc. It was all to much to take after four years of dedicated playing.
