Should've asked opinions on a mock-up design or gone by the old cartoon model. I found this Dungeons and Dragon 2000 Movie trailer that shares some similar themes of how bad this movie trailer is compared to Sonic The Hedgehog 2019 yet intrigued and horrifying it is at the same time. It's just that now people are going to be rushed to do a bunch of work before the movie is released and really... The individual/team who decided to go with that design darn well should have known that wouldn't fly to begin with. I just don't know how they could possibly think people would accept that Sonic design. It is god awful and there's no way someone could be greenlight that thinking "This is great!". I don't know much about movie making at all, but I see a lot of people around who I presume are more knowledgeable than I saying that the actual design idea of Sonic was made by a different person (or different people) than the team that is tasked with implementing the design/animating it when developing the actual movie. That would mean that the second team is suffering solely because of the bad decision-making of the first individual(s). And that's not cool. It would be hilarious to watch the movie and remember the painful evolution he had to go through, all for a pair of gloves, and hopefully, cartoon eyes. Also, a fan recently edited the entire trailer to star Sonic's cartoon design and it is glorious. Like everything Sonic-related in the past decade or so, it's gonna be godawful and nosedive straight away. Sonic fanbrats will abandon Sonic in droves, as will furries and even kids and adults, and Sega will have no choice but to finally pull that plug and end his entire existence as a character and as a franchise, and maybe even go down in flames and sink faster than the Titanic, with any luck. Movie critics will tear this movie a new one (and rightfully so!), and cause the movie to sink into the negative millions. And then Sonic will finally be gone, thank God.
