I wouldn't worry too much about it, hun. I've been watching MLP from nearly the day I was born and you've still got people talking about the older series to this day. With this being the most popular series to date and with G5 seemingly on the horizon?

Nah, these freaks are gonna be hanging around for a while.

It really depends on G5. Contrary to popular belief fandoms can indeed die. I'm in one right now (bionicle) and the chances of that making a come-back are slim to nil. If G5 fails to impress then I think that over time the current MLP fanbase will just shrink and shrink until it ceases to exist. However if G5 does impress then I actually predict a resurgence for it. With what I'm hearing about it it actually seems to want to win back the lost fans. So it can either way.
