web Is DeviantArt dying out?

It seems like DeviantArt is losing members every year and it keeps getting less members by every year. I have a couple of accounts on that website, and it does seem that there's less people on there compared to how it was many years ago.

I don't see why Deviantart is losing members or declining. When I go there I don't see that.

I have seen A LOT of people who used to like the website and have a account on there complain about how the website has been going downhill over the years, and so they decided to delete their account because of it.

It sure hasn't been the same since they came up with that weird logo, I can tell you that.

When did logo change happened?

because I have an account and only rarely log in to comment on other people's works.

Some people leave, others arrive. Thats pretty much in every page. I dont think your low activity on your accounts are good source xd

For your information, I actually have high activity on my accounts, and many people consider me a good drawer. It's just that DeviantArt in general seems to have gotten less activity over the years.

The userbase of DeviantArt is a lot smaller than it used to be. It's still more than enough to keep the site going, but I don't use it that much unless I'm looking for something specific.

I don't feel DeviantArt is as active as it used to be, but I still go there daily to keep up with my feed and the artists who still post work I enjoy. I respect other people's decision to leave, however, so long as the site offers me an outlet to post the art and stories I want, I'll stay.

It's still very active, but other sites like Tumblr and Twitter and Instagram are becoming more popular for artists now. Even I'm considering ditching Deviantart for something else

May have to strike Tumblr off that with their controversial policy change. Actually driving people back to Deviant Art.

True, the change is making it less popular now. But I don't do NSFW art to begin with, and my previous experience with Tumblr has me running into a bug where any photo I upload is automatically marked as NSFW and could only been seen by turning Safe Search off. So hopefully I won't have to deal with that anymore

DeviantART is still there, but it doesn't feel the same as it used to be. Yes, there's tons of top-notch quality art, but community-wise, it's pretty much gradually dwindling down. And this is because of all the drama-fest that's becoming rather common and makes it difficult for artists to communicate with one another. Not only that, dA staff members seem nonexistent and thieves who steal top-quality art and upload them as their own means they can basically get away with it. So while there's still new art every now and then, the community has not been at all positive and I lost every interest of it.

I use Derpibooru as a perfect substitute over dA. The community over there are pretty friendly and helpful as well.

I haven’t heard anyone mention this website in a long time. I know that people still use it but I don’t think it’s as popular as it used to be. I have an account on there but I abandoned it and I rarely use the website in general.

I doubt Deviantart is dying out. Membership numbers can and will fluctuate. Even here is no different.

Meanwhile DeviantArt's traffic dropped about 2 months before you say this. Plus the funding will go through the floor since they're getting rid of 3rd party ads as well as the fact that most of us hate this site because they support bullying. Even their most popular users are bullies.

It's dying. (Actually, it's dead to begin with.)

Looks like its still being used, to me.

That doesn't mean it's alive.

Actually, most former Tumblr users still refuse to return to DeviantArt because they know how bad its reputation is. Hate art is apparently classified as parody art now, art thieves and bullies are praised, people defy the anti-porn rule, predators hunt down minors on this site, nobody wants to join a site like this. At least I hope no one would want to.

I don’t think dA is dead. People need an online art venue and unless something better comes along, I don’t think it’s going to go away, no matter what fluctuations occur in its present membership.

It's dead.
