The fandom's mockery will doom us all

From the very start, the fandom of g4 has mocked Treehugger for being a stereotypical hippie that is only good for getting high. There's so, so, so many memes and art of her just being stoned, and it's truly sad. But I've always believed that she has potential. Could even be the most powerful and smartest pony in all of Equestria, in fact! but with the rise of a certain meme involving a certain hippie beyond the realm of MLP, perhaps certain folks in the fandom might start taking Tree Hugger more seriously as well....

The fact that Ultra Instinct Shaggy is a thing while Tree Hugger is not even close to being a thing tells you everything you need to know. Our mockery won't doom us but shitty characters like Tree Hugger just might do the trick.

I've always really liked Tree Hugger, never understood the hate surrounding her. I always thought it was cool how they worked a hippie character into a pony show, having her reference things like reincarnation and chakra, which was awesome.  Maybe if she gets to show up in another episode to do something cool, we can get that meme magic working for her.

just the understanding of chakra, its properties, utilization of here, and knowledge of past lives proves that she's on a completely different spiritual level than most ponies and isn't your standard baked hippie

in one of the more recent scooby-doo movies, there’s a plot device where shaggy turns into a hyper-competent badass whenever he hears the word “bad” thanks to some hypnotherapy shenanigans, and in one particular scene he kicks the shit out of this one biker gang. along comes a meme edit of that scene where the joke is that shaggy went Ultra Instinct

as is the internet, that joke gets tossed along and snowballs from “shaggy went Ultra Instinct” to “shaggy can solo the DBZ-verse” to “shaggy can defeat thanos” to “shaggy is the most physically capable character in all of fiction”, in a couple years it culminates and suddenly resurfaces as “the very concept of shaggy holds unknowable power, to the point where even just taking up the role of him is hazardous to this reality”

I remember that scene someone else mentioned that haha. I didn’t get how it become a meme. Now I know.

Personally I don't think we need to ponify literally every meme. Don't get me wrong it can be funny if done right. In some ways the fandom might be trying TOO hard to stay relevant
