S9 is coming! Best season so far!?

I know we have had this poll before but opinions are always changing especially as seasons get older and we have more time to really think about them. I think s8 was really good but would say it is a middle season really. A few months ago it was my 3rd favorite.

Season 4, without a doubt. Though Season 7 and Season 2 are both FAIRLY close behind.

Season 4, the final season of the show's first era before the second era began with Season 5.

I just hope Season 9 will be just as great.

Season 2, though season 3 would probably be the best if it was full length.

Though I voted for Season 7, I say it's a three-way tie between Seasons 4, 5, & 7. All three of them are the show's most emotionally poignant and consistently good seasons. 

Season 2 is also excellent, but less consistent. The highs of Season 2 are some of the show's finest outings, but the lows are arguably the deepest of any season.

For me it is easily season 2. The episodes were great, the characters were great, and some of my favorite episodes and moments are from that season. Plus I have a lot of nostalgia for it.

Second and third place go to season 7 and season 4. They were also great.
