Sports Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski to retire from the NFL

Recommended Posts

A rather shocking turn of events as New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has decided to retire from the National Football League. He has been battling a lot of injuries in his career, earning three Super Bowl rings, ending his nine year career having played 115 games, gone for 7861 Yards, and scored 79 touchdowns.

Gronkowski is only about 29. I understand injuries, but it's not like he had to do this. Obviously fans in Boston aren't gonna like the Patriots very much without him, and he has been in commercials such as the trailer for Mobile Strike. Having a career cut short by injuries doesn't sound fun at all.
