Regarding Posting NSFW Content In Posts, Status Updates, etc.

Venomous

Recommended Posts

In light of a recent event, a conclusion has been made that an announcement should be made on this topic.

As you are all well aware, posting/sharing/discussing NSFW content is forbidden. This can be expanded on by viewing our site's guidelines here:

https://mlpforums.com/guidelines/

To narrow it down for you, here is the rule in plain text:

NSFW content - Any content seen as fetishistic, pornographic, or has explicit depictions of violence and gore is not permitted anywhere on this site. We have thirteen year-old kids here. Innuendo in small doses, and PG-13 saucy pony pics are allowed.

NSFW content can also be shared subtly, such as in a meme or a joke. If you see a post like this and you worry it goes against our rules, REPORT IT.

Do not engage by making equally subtle sexual, violent, etc. replies, as that "fuels the flames" and encourages other inappropriate replies, some being even more explicit

We don't need posts like this gaining unnecessary attention and spreading unsuitable material.

As the rule mentions, innuendos in small doses is okay. There is a big difference between:

"That's hot :Fleur:"

and

"I want to **** a **** it's so hot ***"

There is a line that can easily be crossed, which is why we encourage reports if you are unsure. It's better to report and find out it's not a problem than to not report and see an issue exacerbated.

Personally, NSFW conversations as they are do not bother me in the slightest. I can see why it is a concern on a site like this, but I've never understood why the human race as a whole is always so terrified of anything slightly lewd.

Especially considering it's part of most of their daily lives anyways. I mean it's really stupid to say something that you do on a day to day basis is somehow disgusting or deplorable to mention. I mean nobody gets disturbed when I say I went to the bathroom, and it even involves the same parts of the body.

But I suppose I get some people are sensitive to it. Just hopefully in the future, please, please nobody make threads that are bound to go in that direction.

Keep in mind though NSFW topic does not always lean on the mature side as many of you are thinking.. if something inappropriate were to be posted without a NSFW warning or just simply in a wrong turf,  then it’s unacceptable. Some people are sensitive than others so we should have some decently to respect that.

True, but to be fair, I would still be weirded out by anyone persisting in posting pictures depicting / talking in great detail about the necessities of day-to-day life in threads not really about those kinds of things.  Natural part of life or not, there's a time and place.

Technically, you can't. ;)

You can curse, just don't make it excessive. And don't direct it at other members. (e.g. "You went to BronyCon? ****, I'm jealous!" is probably OK. "You went to mutha****ing BronyCon? Did you **** the **** while you were ****ing there, you ****ing ****?" is not.

cursing is ok, attacking others with it (or without it) isn't
