I split action and adventure since I consider them different categories, and I also added drama.

Fantasy - How to Train Your Dragon trilogy

Comedy - Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa

Romance - Koe no Katachi (I have yet to find an American romance movie that I like)

Action - Transformers (yes, the Michael Bay ones. Big robots and explosions. That's all I care about)

Adventure - The Hobbit trilogy

Sci-fi - Big Hero 6

Animated - My Little Pony: The Movie (it's actually Zootopia, but I didn't want to put that twice)

Horror - The Purge (the only type of horror I can handle is gore, and even then I have a limit)

Musical - Oliver & Company

Mystery - Zootopia

Drama - The Blind Side

Action/Adventure: Speed

Action/Sci-fi: Terminator 2: Judgment Day

Animated: Ninja Scroll

Horror: It Follows, The Blair Witch Project

Mystery(?): Fight Club

Comedy: TMNT 2 Secret of the Ooze

Gonna have to sift through my memory for more movies I have seen and update this list.

For some genres, I won't make one of each, because it would be downright impossible not to mention some films that wouldn't be number 1.

Fantasy- Spirited Away, Lord of the Rings

Comedy- The Big Lebowski, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery

Romance- Brokeback Mountain (It's a guilty pleasure)

Action/Adventure- The Dark Knight (2nd film, though the whole series is good), Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark

Sci-fi- Jurassic Park, Back to the Future (series), Star Trek VI: the Undiscovered Country, The Planet of the Apes (1968), Blade Runner

Animated- Finding Nemo, Toy Story (series, yet to see 4), The Lion King, The Incredibles, Mulan, My Neighbor Totoro

Horror- The Shining

Musical- Pitch Perfect

Western- True Grit (2010)

Suspense- No Country for Old Men

Mystery- Shutter Island

Crime- A Clockwork Orange, Inside Man (an underrated film if you ask me), American Gangster

Never expected you to like this one too :dash:

I watched it rather recently, and I found it to be an absolutely amazing film. I made a post about it in the "Last Movie You Watched Thread" talking about how it highlights problems with modern society and how we think about and treat criminals (and really other marginalized groups of people). I also said that it was basically perfect aside from a couple of rather distressing parts.

I liked the ending, since unlike the book, it shows that nothing's really changed for Alex, nor the society of "The State" as a whole.

Spoiler

The book, on the other hand, shows Alex "growing out" of his sociopathy, which is not only how that doesn't work, but also gives some pretty damn unfortunate implications.

So the movie's ending is much more cynical, but also more realistic.

I am honestly not much of a fan of movies of various genres so I will just give my favorite comedy feature which is Dumb and Dumber.

Fantasy - The Two Towers

Comedy - Napoleon Dynamite

Sci-fi - The Empire Strikes Back

Musical - does Frozen count? Love the songs

Western - Sukiyaki Western Django

Suspense - The Silence of the Lambs

Mystery - The Game

Good one!

The only musicals I watch are animated. Something about live action people breaking into song just doesn't appeal to me.

I probably won’t be able to answer all these since I’m unsure what is considered what genre.

Animated: Wreck it Ralph and Nightmare Before Christmas

Comedy: Napoleon Dynamite and Blades of Glory

Fantasy: Lord of the Rings. All of them

Romance: Titanic

Action: Transformers

Musical: RENT

Horror: Saw

I can’t think of anything else.
