I will be moving your thread to Media Discussion

And by the way, you aren't the only one. The past day or so my iPhone XR has been sapping battery life like crazy! It never used to be like that, I'd only have to charge it every 2 or 3 days. Now it's more like 2 times A day. :yeahno: And I didn't change anything, I haven't downloaded anything that would cause it.

Any other iPhone users having our problem? :sealed:

Just 3 minutes ago, my iPhone's battery was at 60%, but now, it's at 45%. What does this mean?

It can mean many things. Check your settings and see what app is eating your battery. Don't let an app you never installed get away with it!

I have had my smartphone's battery been eaten up quickly by forgetting to turn off the FM radio, or had an app I never used trying to do virusy things (back in the days, PC and Windows only got viruses, now the target is Apple, lol, what a turn around), or the Wi-Fi settings was not managed in a smart power way, or or my most common problem for me to this day: Dirty pockets. Every 3 weeks I have to take out the battery and blow away the new dust, and yay, long battery life again!

Check battery usage and watch if there's a spike from a particular application, or if something is eating inordinate amounts of bandwidth. Apple is, however, known to release updates that do this on purpose in an attempt to force you onto the next model...

Then again, this is what you get for using an iphone. snrk

My old phone which I had for 4 or 5 years couldn't stay on unless it was plugged into a charger. Even on a full battery, it could suddenly reset showing the battery percentage dropped to less than 10 in less than a minute

Well, close unwanted apps, make sure your apps and OS is updated, also hook your phone to an amp meter, when charging an iphone should be at least pulling .08 amps.
