Do You Want The Upcoming Series "Pony Life" To Be Cancelled?

No.  I generally think it looks pretty cute.  I don't really agree with a lot of the criticisms people have towards it.  I for one like the character designs and think they are charming, and I actually think this kinda of cutesy art is fitting for a My Little Pony cartoon.  Given that it is a reboot of a beloved property with a chibi art style and focusing more on comedy, I have heard a decent amount of people fearing that this would be like Teen Titans Go, but I don't really think this will be the case.  The humor in Teen Titans Go is cynical and mean, and I don't really see that vibing with the My Little Pony franchise.  If anything I could see Pony Life being more like Unkitty, which while I haven't really seen myself, I have heard pretty good things about.

No, I’m honestly more interested in this than ever finishing S9, namely because of both who are working on it as well as who aren’t. As for the video being set to private, it might have to do with the song, or more likely, the artist behind it, doing something pretty provocative over the weekend, making Hasbro wanting to distance themselves from her for a bit

No? As cringey this show looks, I don’t think it would be at all fair to cancel it before it releases. I can appreciate the dive into this new territory and putting in effort to make it more comedy/slide of life-based. While I will check the show out, I doubt I will like it.

I truly never understood this mind set. People don't like something, so instead of shrugging their shoulders and watching something else, they demand it be cancelled? Makes no sense to me. There are lots of shows I can't stand. (I'm looking at you, South Park / The Simpsons) Both have been on for years, and many people love them. That's great for them, and nobody forces me to watch.

Not the direction that I saw the series headed after FiM ended, but it looks interesting to say the very least. As a community, we might as well give it a chance before being so quick to rebuke it.

Besides, I'm very fond of absurdist comedy whenever it's done correctly, so I'll definitely wait to see how this pans out.

I don't want them to cancel any shows because of the wrong reasons. If Pony Life would turn out to be an objectively uninspired shit show, it's better being cancelled beforehand and replaced with a better show. I don't want them to make any shows that I would dislike, but I also wouldn't like them having no self reflecting standards that they have to wait for the audience to tell them if the show sucks so bad that it should be cancelled. They should make good enough material to make themselves feel confident about it, and they should also be passionate enough about their project to defend it, even when some people might dislike the show.

It also reminds me of the Sonic movie. Yes, it is better to have the character design changed. But shouldn't have they noticed it before people started flipping out? Shouldn't they have known better or shouldn't they have been more sure of themselves to begin with?

I don't want them being too careful about the fandom when making the show. It would end up satisfying nobody and being mediocre. I want to be surprised by a group of active and bold creators, not passive ones.

No, because I am not a mentally unadjusted teenager in the body of an adult.  If it sucks, I will ignore it, that will be all. It is a freaking kids show that has the right to be around so long as it's keeping the kids happy.

It could be that the reason Hasbro set the video to private as well as remove it from Facebook, YouTube, and wherever else it was uploaded, was due to the choice of song which many feel was a poor decision. I won't repeat any of the lyrics here but many of you know what it is. Anyway, I want to see Pony Life to be released in animated form. Sure, the animation style is different and the characters appear to have different personalities, but that shouldn't be a turning off point. Hasbro is making this idea a reality so that they can market it via the already released toy line and to give MLP something before generation five eventually comes out. It's just a fun little spin-off.

Makes sense. I gave pony life about 8.2 seconds and I couldnt take it anymore.

Well, yeah, pretty much that's where the downfall came. Somewhere around those years when twilicorn happened. I saw lots and lots of bronies leave the fandom on a rage fit after season 3's finale. I was a doomsayer myself. I was not so wrong about the show becoming worse over the time, though season 7 was a huge surprise. I don't think hasbro is trying to kill the fandom, though. I think they are just hopping into the calarts bandwagon while it still "works". After all, Hasbro is just a company looking after the moneys. They'll do whatever to keep a kid friendly franchise and milk it whatever the means.

This is exactly how I saw it as well.

Season 7 and Forgotten Friendship saved my brony status! But I have a feeling that was a little too late. Let's see what Pony Life can do for us bronies, lolz

Not to beat a dead horse, (See what I did there?) but this raises something I mentioned in my last post. I LOVED Teen Titans. I can't stand Teen Titans Go. I don't watch it, and have no need or though for it to be cancelled. I really truly don't understand why people would demand something be cancelled just because they don't like it. It's so unfair to those that obviously do.
