I was messing around with my Black Friday Week camera and took a picture of the moon. There was a little bit of a process but it turned out pretty good!

Was the Moon low on the horizon?

(Unless my eyes are messing with me  ) I can see a hint of atmospheric dispersion (dark yellow tinge) towards the lower edge of the Moon. The effect is strongest when an object is near the horizon. That's what made me ask.

I live in Michigan and my family has a cottage on the middle of the thumb on Lake Huron. When the moon rises from the horizon over the lake it's a very creepy red.
